What is CTET?
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in Classes 1-8. There are two CTET papers in the exam, that is, Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who plan to teach Classes 1-5 need to give Paper-I and candidates who plan to teach Classes 6-8 need to take Paper-II. Candidates who plan to teach Classes 1-8 need to take both the papers.Â

CTET Result 2021
CBSE has declared the CTET result 2021 on the official website ctet.nic.in. A total of 4,14,798 candidates cleared the CTET Paper I and 2,39,501 candidates cleared Paper II. Candidates who secured the given qualifying marks have been declared as pass in the examination:
General Category: 60 per cent (90 out of 150 marks)
SC/ST/OBC Category: 55 per cent (82 out of 150 marks)
The marksheet and qualifying certificate of the candidates who cleared the CTET January 2021 exam will be available in the DigiLocker.

CTET Answer Key 2021
CTET Answer key 2021 was released on February 19. The CBSE has asked the candidates to raise objections through the online facility given on the official website. To raise the objection, the candidate needs to submit a fee of Rs 1000 for each wrongs answer. If the expert team of CBSE find the answer wrong, the fee will be refunded to the candidate. The CBSE will release CTET results within 6 weeks from the date of the examination.Â

CTET Exam Analysis 2021
CTET 2020-21 was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on January 31 in two shifts, the paper I from 9:30 AM-12 Noon and paper II from 2:00-4:30 PM today.
CTET Paper-I Analysis:
as per the feedback received from the candidates, CTET paper I was easy, there was no major change in pattern and difficulty level of the exam, however, few candidates found the maths section calculative and lengthy. Check complete CTET 2020 paper-I analysis by students.Â
CTET 2020 Paper II Analysis

CTET Eligibility 2021
- Candidates should pass 10+2 with minimum 45 per cent aggregate marks in order to be qualified for appointment as a primary stage teacher
- Candidates should clear graduation with minimum 45 per cent aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in order to be qualified for appointment as an elementary stage teacher
- Candidates should complete the prescribed teacher training programmes/teacher education courses

CTET Registration vs Result
Every year, over 20 lakh aspirants appear for CTET exam. In December 2019, close to 24 lakh candidates appeared for CTET out of which 5.42 lakh qualified, as per media reports. In July 2019, total 23.77 lakh aspirants took the CTET exam out of which 3.52 lakh candidates qualified. Â

A: Uptil now, CTET eligibility certificate was valid for a period of seven years starting from the date of declaration of result. However, now the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has extended the CTET passing certificate validity to a lifetime period. Â
Q: Will I get the job after clearing CTET exam?
A: Qualifying CTET exam does not guarantee job to a candidate. It is only one of the eligibility criteria for employment.
Q: Will CBSE or CTET unit give me job if I clear the exam?
A: No, CBSE is an exam conducting body and does not offer employment to any candidate.
Q: Can I apply for CTET again if I had already qualified the exam before?
A: Yes, you can apply for the exam again. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for qualified/ non-qualified candidates. Â
Q: Can I appear for CTET paper-I and paper-II in different cycles of the exam?
A: Yes, you can appear for CTET paper-I and II in different exam cycles.
Q: What is the confirmation page?
A: The CTET confirmation page is a page that gets auto-generated after successful payment of the application fee. The confirmation page acts as a proof that a candidate has successfully filled and submitted the CTET application form.Â
Q: How is the CTET exam centre allotted to a candidate?
A: CTET exam centre is allotted as per the city preferences mentioned by the candidate in the application form. Â
Q: How many times is CTET conducted in a year?
A: CTET exam is conducted twice a year, typically in the months of July and December.
