SSC GD 2022 PST/PET admit card has been released on the official website of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notice regarding the Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The candidates can download the e-admit card from the link given in the SSC notice. The Ministry of Home appoints the nodal force to conduct the PST/PET for the candidates who cleared the SSC GD written exam. The SSC GD PST/PET will be conducted from May 18 to June 9 at various CRPF centres. The total number of vacancies in SSC GD exam is 22,424 for male and 2,847 for female category.

 SSC GD notification is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2023. SSC GD 2022 (Tier-I) exam will be conducted in June 2023 as per the released exam calendar.

What is SSC Constable (GD)?

SSC GD Constable exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). SSC Constable (General Duty) is a popular exam among candidates because of its eligibility criteria, salary and the pride associated with working in the security forces. It is conducted to recruit candidates for the posts of Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman (General Duty) in the following Central Armed Police Forces:

SSC GD Admit Card

SSC GD admit card for the PST and PET has been released online on May 6. Admit card is the official information about the exam date and venue of the examination. The admit card is the official document required to get entry into the exam centres on the mentioned date and time of the exam. 

SSC GD 2022 Result

SSC GD 2022 Application Process

SSC GD 2022 Eligibility

SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria contribute to the higher number of applications in the exam because the educational requirement is Matric/High School only. The SSC GD notification prescribes all the conditions of eligibility criteria for the SSC GD exam. The SSC GD eligibility criteria are defined for the candidates in terms of the following components.

  • Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
  • Age limit: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 23 years.
  • Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class 10) are not eligible for the exam.

The candidate should read and understand the SSC GD 2022 eligibility criteria and then only fill the application because the Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate if he or she do not conform to any of the eligibility condition.

SSC GD Exam Centres

SSC GD CBE was conducted online in over 50 cities. The candidates selected three SSC GD exam centres in the online applications. The Commission reserve the right to allot the examination centre.

SSC GD 2022 Syllabus

The candidates need to see the SSC GD syllabus and make a note of the topics to be prepared for the exam. The candidates must prepare for each of the topics and try to score maximum marks in the CBE.

SSC GD 2022 Exam Pattern

The SSC GD exam pattern is notified in the official notification. The first stage of the SSC GD exam is a CBE conducted online at the designated exam centres. The candidates are required to score maximum marks here because the marks secured at this stage will be considered for the SSC GD result. Candidates need to solve 100 questions in 90 minutes. SSC GD exam pattern is released with the official notification every time and the exam process is governed as per the details given in the official notification. Each question carries one mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The structure of the SSC GD CBE is as follows.

SSC GD 2022 Preparation

The candidates must prepare all the topics given in the syllabus. After initial SSC GD preparation, the candidates need to attempt the mock test and the previous year question papers. It would be more helpful if the candidates attempt the previous year's question papers in a time-bound manner. SSC GD 2022 Selection Process

SSC GD selection process will start with the release of notification. The official SSC GD notification is the first official information about the number of vacancies, exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and other important information. SSC_GD_2021_Selection_Process

SSC GD selection process consists of the application process, CBE, PET, PST and medical examination. The complete steps of the selection process are as explained below:

Step 1: SSC GD 2022 Application

The first and foremost step of the recruitment process is filling in the application form. Candidates need to fill out the application form online on the official website of SSC. The application fee for all candidates is INR 100 (women/SC/ST/ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment). 

Step 2: SSC GD admit card

SSC GD Constable admit card is issued one week before the exam. Candidates need to download the SSC GD Constable admit card from the official regional websites of the commission by entering the required login credentials and date of birth. The admit cards for PET/PST and DME/RME are uploaded by CRPF. 

Step 3: SSC GD Computer Based Exam

SSC GD CBE was conducted from November 16 to December 15 at the designated exam centres across the nation. The test carries 100 objective-type questions of 100 marks. The question paper is divided into four parts - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The difficulty level of questions is of matriculation level.

Step 4: SSC GD PET/PST

Based on the performance of CBE, candidates are shortlisted for physical tests such as PET and PST. The tests are conducted at various centres finalised by the recruiting body such as CAPFs.

Step 5: SSC GD Medical Exam

Candidates who qualify PET/PST exam then finally need to appear for the Detailed Medical Examination and in some cases Review Medical Examination, conducted by Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Step 6: SSC GD result

SSC GD result is the final step of the selection process. The selected candidates are called to the respective force headquartered for the appointment.
