The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has increased the number of vacancies in the UPPSC 2024 exam to 947. Initually the number of vacancies were 220 only.

The UPPSC PCS notification 2025 mentioned 200 UPPSC vacancies for the UPPCS 2025 exam. The final vacancies will be notified to the candidates who qualify the prelims exam. The Commission will mention the post-wise vacancies in the UPPSC main exam form.

UPPSC 2025 Exam

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the apex state recruitment body that conducts various exams to recruit candidates for various Group B services. UPPSC do not conduct exams where the eligibility condition is below a graduate, such functions are delegated to the UPSSSC and other departmental recruitment bodies. What is UPPSC PCS?

UPPSC conducts the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate exam to recruit candidates for the Group B services through the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services and Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officer Services Examination 2025. The UPPCS exam recruits state government functionaries in provincial civil services and other state services. These functionaries get their postings in various essential departments, such as land records, land revenue, and general administration.

UPPSC PCS Full Form

The full form of UPPSC PCS is Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Provincial Civil Service (PCS). The name is a joint name of the Commission and its top service. The official name of the exam is Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Exam.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC UPPCS 2025 notification on February 20, 2025. The official notification mentioned 200 vacancies for the UPPSC 2025 exam. UPPCS PCS 2025 Form

The Commission released the UPPSC 2025 application link with the official notification. The Commission provided 30 days to fill out the UPPSC 2025 online application form. The last date to apply for the UPPSC 2025 exam is March 20, 2025. The UPPSC 2025 application correction facility is available till April 2, 2025.

UPPSC PCS Eligibility 2025

The candidates should check all the eligibility conditions before filling out the UPPSC PCS form online. The commission may cancel the candidature of any candidates at any stage of recruitment. The eligibility criteria for the UPPCS Exam are given below.

UPPCS 2025 Educational Qualification

The candidate must be a graduate to appear in the UPPSC PCS exam 2025. The candidates who will appear in their graduation degree exam can also appear in the exam but they need to submit their final year mark sheet at the time of the UPPCS main exam Detailed Application Form (DAF) submission.

The candidates having any percentage in the degree course can fill out the UPPCS application and can appear in the UPPCS exam. Besides, there are some specific educational qualifications required for some posts. The details are given below.

The above posts are an exhaustive list. Some posts are not notified in the notification for the exam. There can be an increase in the number of UPPSC posts in case the Commission include more posts for the exam.

UPPCS Age Limit

The common age limit for all the positions is:

Minimum Age limit - 21 years
Maximum Age Limit - 40 years (on July 1 of the exam year)

The candidates born before July 2, 1985, and after July 1, 2004, will not be eligible to appear in the UPPSC 2025 exam.

UPPSC UPPCS Exam Pattern 2025

The UPPCS exam has three stages selection process and the candidates must pass all three stages of the UPPCS exam to qualify for the exam. The stages of the selection process are given below.

1. UPPCS Prelims Exam
The prelims exam is the first stage of the UPPCS selection process. UPPSC conducts the prelims exam across the state in offline mode and around eight lakh candidates appear in this exam. Last year, the UPPSC UPPCS prelims question paper was not in consonance with the previous year's papers. There are two papers in the UPPCS prelims exam that are mentioned below:

2. UPPCS Main (written) Exam

The optional subject from the UPPCS PCS main exam has been removed. The Government approved the proposal of removing the optional subject and instead of it, two papers will be introduced in the UPPSC main exam 2025. The UPPSC UPPCS main exam pattern can be summarised as follows:

UPPCS Personality Test (Viva Voce)

The personality test is the last stage of the UPPSC UPPCS exam. The commission has assigned 100 marks to the personality test, which makes it an important factor in deciding the final rank. The personality test revolves around current events and the Detail Application Form (DAF) filled out at the time of the main exam.

The UPPSC conducts the personality test in the commission’s office premises and the candidates need to go to Prayagraj for the personality test. After the personality test, the UPPSC results will be declared. It will pave the way for the selection.

UPPCS 2025 Syllabus

The Commission notifies the official syllabus in the notification every year. UPPSC Syllabus is kin to the UPSC syllabus now. The prelims exam is conducted on the same lines as conducted by UPSC. UPPCS syllabus is the key to the preparation and consequently for the selection in the exam. The candidates should refer to the syllabus and prepare each of the topics given in the syllabus. UPPCS Answer Key

The Uttar Public Service Commission released the UPPSC prelims answer key on December 25, 2024. The Commission released the tentative answer key and ask the candidates to send objections against the incorrect answers given in the official answer key.

The candidates can check their answers from the UPPSC answer key (tentative) and calculate their scores. The Commission does not release the final answer key before the completion of the exam process. The final answer key is released after the final result. The Commission invited objections from the candidates to suggest corrections (if any) in the question or in the answer provided by the Commission. The Commission forms a committee to examine the objections received from the candidate. It recommends the changes required in the tentative answer key. The Commission will consider the recommendations and will decide accordingly.

UPPCS Exam Analysis

The Commission conducted the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam on December 22, 2024. The Commission conducts the UPPCS exam in an offline mode across the state. UPPSC exam analysis helps the candidate in preparing for the exam in a better way. It suggests the important components of the exam and question paper.

UPPCS Previous Year Question Paper

Question papers are very important for exam preparation. The candidates must refer to the UPPSC's previous years' question papers to consolidate their preparation. UPPSC Prelims question papers are important for exam preparation. The candidates should attempt the previous year's question paper in time-bound and exam-like conditions so that they can check their performance in the exam-like conditions. The UPPSC question papers follow the same standards and hence they are helpful for the overall preparation.

UPPCS Cut Off

The UPPSC PCS 2024 cutoff will be released online for all the categories and posts separately. It will be released after the declaration of the final result. The Commission does not release the cutoff with the result. The release of the UPPSC PCS cutoff can be considered the last step of the exam process.

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC PCS 2023 cutoff for the prelims and main exam for all the categories and groups. The Commission released the UPPSC Cutoff under the candidates' login. The Commission releases the UPPSC PCS cutoff only after the completion of the exam process. The Commission releases the category-wise UPPCS cutoff for all the groups. UPPCS 2025 Admit Card

The UPPSC 2025 admit card has been released on the official website. The Commission released two direct links for the candidates. The candidates will be required to show their UPPSC admit card to enter the examination centre. UPPCS admit card is the essential document to secure entry to the exam centre. The candidates must carry one government identity proof with the UPPSC admit card to establish their identity when asked for at the examination centre.

UPPCS Exam Centres 2025

The number of UPPCS exam centres are notified in the official notification. The UPPCS prelims exam will be conducted at all major districts in the state. The UPPSC main exam will be conducted at three exam centres only. Both exams are conducted in offline mode.
