Calculation of Tuition Fees in Spanish Universities

In Spain, Pay-per Credit system works for higher university education tuition fees. According to this format, it is on the basis of the number of credits each year that the tuition fee has to be paid by the students. Generally, the total number of ECTS credits per academic year is 60 euros.

In case you withdraw from an enrolled course and wish to enrol again for the second or a third time, you will have to deposit a higher tuition fee. Overseas students pursuing an undergraduate course in Spanish universities might have to pay €6,000 every year according to pay-per-credit norms. For the bachelor’s degree, the average price of credit may rise up to €30 per credit. Also, the yearly tuition fees on average can be €1,800.

The duration of a bachelor’s course is normally a maximum of 4 years in Spain. Considering the fact that the total number of ECTS credits is 60, the total number of credits for 4 years will be 240.
