The country that is usually considered to be the best for studying abroad is the USA. The USA hosts the highest number of international students in the world. It has top universities, world-class infrastructure and the best job opportunities for students after the completion of their studies.

Q:   Is 20 Lacs enough to study abroad?
A: 

On a bigger, fuller picture, INR 20 L are not sufficient to study abroad for most UG and PG courses. As the cost of education is too high at top study destinations. And even if you choose to study at public universities, you will still have to manage the living expenses. Thus, there are two options left - study in a country that has really affordable cost of living and education; or apply for a fully-funded scholarship, which will not jus cover your tuition but your living costs as well, thus might even save your INR 20 L.

A: 

To apply to a university abroad with a scholarship, you need to apply to the university first, followed by choosing a specific scholarship that matches your course and condition (need, merit or academics). Once you decide on a scholarship, prepare your documents and application form, and submit them on time. Ideally, the application for the scholarship must begin at least 12-18 months before the course start date.
