Applying for a Student VISA is a mandatory step for international students seeking education abroad. International students need to apply for the Visa process for specific countries as soon as they receive the offer letters from the universities they applied to. MIM Abroad: Post-study work VISA

International students can choose to stay and look for jobs after completing an MIM from universities abroad. For that, they would require special work permits and visas that allow them to stay in the country while looking for a job or starting any business relevant to their field, thus expanding their chances of gaining practical experience related to their field while staying in the country. Below are the post-study work permits given by some top countries:

USA: International students can apply for an Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the USA on an F-1 visa after they finish their degree in the country. They would be allowed to work in the field of their study for up to 12 months after receiving OPT. Having an OPT would provide international students with great opportunities to gain real-world industrial skills, which would help them further enhance their career prospects. However, applying for OPT, international students must get the approval of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

UK: International students after completing their studies in the UK can apply for the Graduate Route Visa, which will allow them to live and work in the UK for up to the next two years after completion of their degree. International students, while applying for the Graduate Route visa, do not mandatorily need to have a job offer, hence making the process easier after graduation.

France: International students can apply for the Autorisation Provisoire de Sejour (APS) permit, which allows them to stay in the country up to 12 months after completion of their degree in France. For eligibility, International students need to present proof of studying in France while finishing their degree on a student visa. The APS permit allows graduate to look for jobs related to their field of study or open a business in that field.

Spain: International students can apply for a Temporary Residence permit, which allows them to stay in Spain up to 12 months after the completion of their degree from any University, to look for jobs in their field of study. This allows students to gain practical work experience while being in Spain. Applicants need to provide evidence of stay in Spain on a student visa and the presence of sufficient funds to be eligible for this permit.

MIM Abroad Requirements - Eligibility Criteria

While universities might differ in specific requirements for their programs, but some entry requirements are mandatory for most of the top universities which offer MIM.  International students must fulfil the admission requirements listed below to pursue MIM abroad:

• Bachelor's in Management or a related field

• Overall grade point average, i.e., GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent (some universities don't specify the exact GPA needed for the programs, but typically 3.0 out of 4.0 is considered the safest standard GPA to maintain)

• Overall IELTS score of 6.0 or higher / TOEFL score of 80 - 100 or higher
