Strict protocols are enforced to ensure test integrity. There are some rules to be followed by the test-takers at the GRE Test centre. These rules have been selected from a long list of Dos and Don'ts. We have mentioned some important points below:
- Identity Card: Candidates would be required to bring a valid ID card, which is an Indian Passport.
- A Scratch Paper: Candidates would be provided with scratch paper for use during the entire duration of the test, which would have to be returned at the end of the GRE test.
- Reporting Time: Arrive at least 30 minutes before your slot. Latecomers are marked as "No-Shows."
- Prohibited Items: Watches, jewelry, pens, and paper are banned. The center provides a locker for phones and bags.
- Inspections: Expect a metal detector scan and a check of your pockets, sleeves, and eyeglasses.
- Breaks: The shorter GRE (1h 58m) has no scheduled breaks. If you leave the room, the timer will not stop.
- Calculator for Students: An onscreen calculator will be provided to the candidate during the Quantitative Reasoning section only. No personal calculators would be allowed inside the GRE Testing premises.
