Faculty of Medicine was launched by the university on the date of foundation. The Medical Faculty Heidelberg traces back from over 630 years of tradition at Germany's oldest university.

Heidelberg Curriculum Medicinale (HeiCuMed) was established in 2001.
In 1910, Albrecht Kossel receives the Nobel Prize for Medicine.
