Scholarship Overview

• In 2025, up to 40 of the best technical master’s degree students from across the world studying in the Netherlands will be selected to receive the ASML Technology Scholarship.
• Recipients get financial support for both years of their master’s degree, a personal ASML mentor, and the opportunity to participate in a professional development program that prepares them for life after graduation.

  • (Applied) Physics and Astronomy
  • Computer science, software engineering, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, data science, information technology and computational science

  • Materials science
  • (Applied) Mathematics
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Mechatronics and systems and control
  • Nanotechnology, nanoscience and nanomaterials

Scholarship amount details

Max scholarship per student: Euro 5,000 => Rs 4,77,850

Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 102.37 (last updated 21st November 2025)

• Financial support of €5,000 per year for each of the two years of the full-time master’s degree study.
• Please note that the funding provided by the scholarship is not sufficient to cover international tuition fees. In addition, applicants are required to personally attend the June assessment days if selected; travel costs are not reimbursed.

Eligibility

• This scholarship is open for students from all nationalities who are planning to pursue a technical master’s degree at a university in the Netherlands.
• The ASML Technology Scholarship is open to students who are planning to pursue a technical master’s degree at a university in the Netherlands. We’re looking for students:
  • With at least a 7.50 average grade score
  • Who participate in extracurricular activities that show a drive for personal development and achievement
  • Who are available on one of the Assessment Days.
• Students who have recently or almost completed their bachelor’s degree but intend to pursue a master’s degree at a university in 2025 in the Netherlands are encouraged to apply for the ASML Technology Scholarship.

Important Dates

First selection round	May 03, 2025	We’ll let you know if applicants CV has been selected by May 3. If they are selected to proceed to the second round, we’ll ask applicants to record and submit a video cover letter (motivation video) before May 7.
Selection days	June 05, 2025	The technical selection board will review applicants CV and video. We’ll let applicants know whether they have been selected to attend one of our two mandatory selection days  on June 5 and 11 at our headquarters in Veldhoven.
Selection offer	Not Available	We’ll let applicants know within two weeks after the selection days if they have been chosen to receive an ASML Technology Scholarship.
