Scholarship Overview

British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM is offered by the CITY, University of London to international students. British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM is available for students from any country who want to study Masters Degree in the UK at the CITY, University of London. Every year, the university selects 6 candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is GBP 29989 at CITY, University of London. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

• MSc Civil Engineering Structures,MSc in Construction Management,MSc in Energy and Environmental Technology and Economics,MSc in Maritime Operations and Management,MSc in Project Management, Finance and Risk,MSc in Renewable Energy and Power Systems Management For the purpose of receiving the scholarship, students must have job experience.

Eligibility

• To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a woman (cis-gendered or trans) or identify as non-binary
  • Be a passport holder and permanent resident of one of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
  • Have submitted an application to City to study on one of the following postgraduate programmes specified above
  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university partner by the time you submit your application and be due to start your postgraduate programme in the UK during 2022
  • Have not previously studied at degree level or higher in the UK or lived recently in the UK
  • Demonstrate case for financial support need
  • Meet the English language requirement of the UK university partner

Application Process for this scholarship

• In order to apply for this scholarship applicants are first required to submit an application for the specific Master programme
• Required documents:-
  • Transcript/interim transcript
  • Personal statement 500-600 words
  • GMAT score (if applicable)
  • English language test result
  • Confirmation of professional qualifications/exemptions/passes (if applicable)
  • A-Level certificates (if requested)
  • Work Experience (if required)
  • CV is required

    • One reference from a tutor who taught you at university level
    • One reference from a current or recent employer or supervisor
    • If student have no work experience or cannot get a reference from a professional, we can accept two academic references
    • Professional qualification holders who do not have a first degree should arrange two employer references, preferably from different employers
