Scholarship Overview

• A Commonwealth Shared Scholarship can help applicants to fund a full-time master's course if they are from a low income household in a Commonwealth country.

• The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme (CSS) is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) and the University, to provide scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries.

This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in University of Bath in UK

• MSc in Robotics and Autonomous Systems
  M.Sc Biotechnology (with Entrepreneurship)
• Msc in International Development with Conflict and Humanitarian Action
  Biotechnology (Sustainable Biotechnologies) MSc
• M.Sc International Development with Education
  M.Sc Robotics and Autonomous Systems including optional three-month placement

• To apply for this scholarship scheme, applicants must be studying one of the following courses for the 2026-27 academic year:

  • MSc Biotechnology (Sustainable Biotechnologies)
  • MSc Biotechnology (with Entrepreneurship)
  • MSc International Development with Conflict and Humanitarian Action
  • MSc International Development with Education
  • MSc Robotics and Autonomous Systems
  • MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering

Eligibility

• If Applicants are considering applying for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship on one of the following courses for the 2026-27 academic year:
• MSc Biotechnology (Sustainable Biotechnologies)
• MSc Biotechnology (with Entrepreneurship)
• MSc Robotics and Autonomous Systems
• MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering
• Applicants must:
  • Be from an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Apply using the CSC’s online application system AND
  • Secure admission to applicants chosen course by applying to study.
• If applicants are considering applying for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship on either of the following courses for the 2026-27 academic year:
• MSc International Development, Conflict and Humanitarian Action
• MSc International Development with Education
• Applicants must:
  • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by Kenya or Uganda and be resident in an eligible area. Please refer to Windle Trust International eligibility criteria for more details
  • Contact the Windle Trust International to express interest in this scholarship and suitability.
• Please do not apply or make a course application directly to the University of Bath for these programmes.

  • secure admission to the chosen course by applying to study with the university.
