Daniel Zéghal Award For Excellence In Accounting Research is aimed at providing support to outstanding students entering or enrolled in the Master of Science in Management from University of Ottawa in Canada. This award will be awarded to Single candidate. This scholarship can be used primarily towards tuition. University offers the merit-based scholarship which amounts to CAD 8000 and offered on a yearly basis. As part of the Daniel Zéghal Award For Excellence In Accounting Research selection process, applicants would be required to submit the following documents: LOR and CV.

Eligibility

• The applicant must:
  • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  • be registered in the course-based or thesis-based MSc in Management program at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa at the time of application;
  • conduct research in the field of accounting; 
  • be registered in the master’s program and have successfully completed the second term; 
  • have achieved an average of at least A- (80%) for all courses completed in the master’s program; and  6. not have ever received the Daniel Zéghal Award for Excellence in Accounting Research

• Applications must be emailed to the Research Office, Telfer School of Management at Recherche.Research@telfer.uOttawa.ca, and should include: 
  • a summary (max. 500 words) of the applicant’s research proposal, including the contribution the research will bring to the field of accounting as well as the anticipated impact of this research; 
  • an academic curriculum vitae; and 
  • a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s research project or thesis supervisor
