  • The Hagan International Scholarship is a worldwide competitive scholarship for firsttime graduate students.
  • The Purpose of the Hagan International Scholarship is to provide recipients with the opportunity to attend graduate school at a U.S college or university. And, to learn important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum.
  • The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to four consecutive semesters to obtain a graduate degree or to help pay for the first two years of a professional program

  • The disbursement amount will be adjusted each semester to offset the expiration or loss of other scholarships, awards, grants, waivers, or institution provided work-study
  • Total Cost of Attendance including tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, personal and transportation costs
  • The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional consecutive semesters if the recipient fulfills the scholarship criteria and workshop responsibilities
  • First year recipients will receive $2,000 to purchase essential items for college not covered by the scholarship; such as a computer, printer, cell phone, clothing, bedding, and office supplies
  • The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to four consecutive semesters to obtain a graduate degree or to help pay for the first two years of a professional program
  • Applicants Must achieve a 3.25 GPA each semester. and Must maintain a 3.50 CGPA after the first semester.
  • Applicants Must maintain the Graduation Schedule prepared by the institution and approved by the Department Chair.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must not hold U.S. citizenship
  • Applicant must be a first-time graduate student enrolling in the Fall 2026 Semester. and must not have attended graduate school
  • Applicant must not be over 24 years of age as of the May 1, 2026 Submittal Deadline
  • Applicant must have been awarded or will be awarded by the upcoming Fall 26 sesmter an aundergradaute degree from a foreign institution.
  • Applicant must have been awarded or will be awarded by the upcoming Fall 26 semester an aundergradaute degree from a foreign institution.
  • Applicant must be fluent in the English language
  • Must contribute toward the cost of applicant’s education by working 240 hours from January 1 to September 1, 2026 prior to the start of the fall semester. Employment and/or paid internships must be performed under supervision for compenstation. Work can be full-time or part-time.

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Must provide a Graduation Plan for the intended degree prepared by aneligible Insitution located in the United States and approved by the Department Chair
  • Must provide a Letter of Acceptance for Enrollment for the upcoming Fall 26 semester from the Institution
  • Must provide a copy of applicant’s undergraduate
  • Must provide a copy of the parents Financial Statement using a Form provided by HSF
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency
