  • The applicant must:
    • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
    • have completed at least one year of full-time studies in the MSc or the PhD program in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Ottawa;
    • have achieved academic excellence in the field of environmental biology; and
    • not have received any other major awards, e.g. NSERC, OGS or FCAR
