• That’s why organisation is proud to announce “Learning Beyond Borders: The Ling Scholarship 2026”, a global opportunity for students passionate about study abroad scholarship programs, language learning, and cultural exchange
• Whether students are in high school, undergrad, or grad school — this one’s for them! 
• Organisation is awarding $2,000 and a free lifetime Ling membership to one outstanding high school or university student, making language learning part of their study abroad adventure.

• All winners will be featured on the scholarship page, Ling’s social media channels, and offered the opportunity to join Ling’s Ambassador Program

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in high school, university, or a Master’s program

• Applicants must meet the following requirements:-
  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year university, a 1–2 year Master’s program or high school students are also eligible.
  • Must be accepted into a study abroad or exchange program for any semester prior to or including Spring 2026 (before June 2026).
  • Open to all nationalities, GPAs, majors, and minors.
  • Must be planning to study abroad in any country (non-English-speaking countries preferred, but not required).
  • This scholarship is available for students pursuing language learning scholarships, foreign language scholarships, or scholarships for study abroad programs.

• Submit a 3–5 minute maximum video personal statement

• Application process:
  • Gather all required documents (Official Transcript and Study Abroad Program Acceptance Letter) in PDF format only.
  • Prepare 3–5 minute video maximum.
  • Fill out the application form using the “Apply Now” button.
  • Upload video or paste the shareable link into the form.
  • Submit application by December 15, 2025, and wait for our response via email.
• Personal statement:
  • Step 1: Introduce Yourself:
  • Please include the following information:
    • First name
    • College/university
    • The study abroad or exchange program students have joined or been accepted into the languages you speak
  • Step 2: Answer the Main Question
  • What cultural or language barrier do you think you might face while studying abroad, and how are you preparing for it?
  • Step 3: Choose and Answer one of the Prompts
• Video requirement:
  • Minimum 1080p resolution, with clear audio and good lighting.
  • Video editing is encouraged, making it engaging and personal.
  • Be as creative as you’d like; feel free to use any editing software.
  • If video is in a language other than English, please include English subtitles.
  • Accepted formats: MP4.
    Orientation: Portrait or horizontal.
  • Upload video to Google Drive or Dropbox, and ensure sharing is set to “Anyone with the link can view.” Example file name: VideoEssay_YourFullName.mp4.
