Undergraduate Education Bursary for International Students is aimed at providing support to outstanding students entering or enrolled in the Honours BSocSc in Economics,Honours BA in English,Honours BA in Ethics and Political Philosophy,Honours BA in Geography,Honours BA in Greek and Roman Studies,Honours BA in History,Honours BA in Linguistics from University of Ottawa in Canada. This award can be awarded to Multiple candidates. This scholarship can be used primarily towards tuition. University offers the merit-based scholarship which amounts to CAD 1250 and offered on a semester basis.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must:
    • be an international student with a valid study permit;
    • be newly admitted, for the first time, between the Fall 2018 and Spring/Summer 2020 term inclusively;
    • be registered full-time;
    • be in an undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa in one of the following faculties : Arts, Common Law, Civil Law, Education, Medicine, Science, Health Sciences, Social Sciences; and 
    • be paying the international tuition fees

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Students who:
    • Take ESL (English as a second language) during their first study term (starting Fall 2018) will only be eligible to receive this bursary once they are registered to their program.
    • Receive the Differential Tuition Fee Exemption for International Students studying in French are not eligible to receive this bursary.
    • Are in a CO-OP work term are not eligible to receive this bursary.
    • Are registered as special students are not eligible to receive this bursary.
    • Were admitted and registered at Telfer School of Management during the Fall 2018, Winter 2019 and/or Spring/Summer 2019 terms are eligible to this receive this bursary
