  • The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide assistance with tuition fees for high-achieving international students commencing a relevant degree program at The University of Queensland in Semester 1 or 2

This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in The University of Queensland in Australia

  • All Category courses are eligible for the scholarship
  • Study full-time at UQ commencing Semester 1 or 2, in an Approved Program. This includes most undergraduate and postgraduate programs with a few exceptions
  • Relevant program means any full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program of at least 16 units at The University of Queensland with the exception of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with Psychology major, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) or Bachelor of Science (Hons) with Psychology major, Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons), Doctor of Clinical Dentistry, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine (Ochsner), Doctor of Medicine (Provisional), Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics, Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice, Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics, Master of Biostatistics, Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology, Master of Clinical Pharmacy, Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Counselling, Master of Dietetics Studies, Master of Occupational Therapy Studies, Master of Organisational Psychology, Master of Physiotherapy, Master of Physiotherapy Studies, Master of Psychology, Master of Speech Pathology Studies, Master of Sports Coaching, Master of Sports Medicine, Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration

  • The Scholarship is a 25% reduction in tuition fees per semester.
  • The reduction will be applied after enrolment and prior to the tuition fees due date each semester.
  • The maximum duration of the Scholarship is four years or the duration of the program where it is less than four years.
  • The Scholarship will cover only up to the approved credit points on offer.

Eligibility

  • Students are eligible if they:

    • are an international student.
    • are a high school leaver and have achieved an entry rank of 99.
    • are an undergraduate student or postgraduate student and have achieved a GPA equivalent of 6.75 and above (on the UQ 7-point scale).
  • And they : 
    • have received an unconditional offer to study full-time at UQ commencing Semester 1 or 2, in an eligible program. This includes most undergraduate and postgraduate programs with a few exceptions.
    • have satisfied the program entry rank and English language proficiency requirements (ELP scores will varie as per course chossen by the students)
    • will enrol full-time.
  • And they have not:
    • received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ. 
    • received a full scholarship/sponsorship from another organisation (applicants with partial scholarships/sponsorships may be considered).
