Scholarship Overview

• The Vice Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship - PG Taught is offered at Queen’s University Belfast 
• Four scholarships offering a 50% reduction on full tuition fees are available to exceptionally talented international students paying international tuition fee rates who will be starting their full-time postgraduate taught studies on an eligible programme at Queen’s University Belfast in the academic year 2025/26.

• 50% reduction in tuition fees up to a maximum of two years. 
• The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit and no cash alternative is available.

Eligibility

• A 50% reduction on full tuition fees paid for all years of the programme, up to a maximum of two years will be offered to the successful candidate who will be studying the specified programmes.
• Applicants can only apply and be considered for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Postgraduate Taught after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen eligible programme and have FIRMLY accepted their offer. Applications cannot be considered in advance of applicants meeting these two criteria.
• Prior to commencement of study applicants must have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
• Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for the scholarship. Students paying NI ROI, EU or GB fees are not eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Postgraduate Taught.
• Students must be self-funded i.e. be paying the tuition fees for the course yourself at the international rate.

• Guidelines and how to submit the video:

  • To apply for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship students must submit a short video and complete the online application form.

  • Only those applicants who meet the criteria for the award as detailed in the terms and conditions will be able to complete the online application.

  • This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. The successful candidates will be contacted in the first instance by telephone, if they have not been contacted by the end of July 2025 they may assume they have been unsuccessful.

  • Video should be on the following topic
    • Why you want to come and study at Queen's University Belfast and how you believe your programme of choice will benefit you in your future career aspirations.
