During the semester, students may accept a paid part-time job of not more than 15 working hours a week. Full-time employment is allowed during the regular summer vacations. • UG: An Upper Secondary School-Leaving certificate is required. There should be six identified subjects studied by the students namely First language, Second language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Informatics or Philosophy, or more
• PG: The applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree is required for admission to Master's courses

Language of Instruction

The main language of instruction for most of the Master's study programs at Zurich University is either German or English. On the other hand, the main language of instruction for all Bachelor's degree is German. Foreign applicants seeking admission to course at any study level must have enough command of the main language of instruction of the study programme in which they want to enroll. Typically, the foreign applicants are required to have the necessary German language proficiency at C1 level.
