On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Does University of Hull need IELTS?
A: 

 If English is not your first language, then you will need to show proof of your English language ability or if you need a student visa to study at university of Hull. This should be an accepted English language test by the organization.

Undergraduate courses

You must have an overall IELTS score of 6.0 obtained within two years of the start date of the majority of the undergraduate programmes. Additionally, you must score at least 5.5 in each of the following skill areas:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Listening

Please check the English requirement needed before enrolling in any undergraduate courses as some of them have higher minimum scores that may be found on the individual course listing sites of university. 

Postgraduate courses

For all the PGCert, PGDip and MSc in HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION

  • IELTS: 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in each component
  • PTE Academic: 61, with no less than 55 in each component
  • CAE and CPE: 176, with no less than 169 in each component
  • TOEFL: 87, with a minimum of 21 in each component
  • Trinity ISE: level 3 with Merit in all components

Q:   Does Hull have January intake?

Most of the taught postgraduate degrees begin in September. However, several of the programmes provided by the Faculty of Health Sciences are among the courses that also start in January and May. For further information, please see the course pages.

Q:   Is it tough to get into the University of Hull?
A: 

The acceptance rate for the Uni of Hull for Indian students is 55%. This makes it a lightly selective institution. Once a student meet all the Univesity of Hull admission requirements. Students must be aware of the application deadlines and apply to the university correctly, along with submitting all the relevant requirements.

Step steps should be considered while applying through UCAS:

Step 1: Register on the UCAS website

Step 2: Your credentials, employment history, and course preferences must be entered. Additionally, you must provide a personal statement and a reference.

Step 3: Explore the course offerings to find ones that interest you or align with your career objectives.

Step 4: Apply through the UCAS website

Step 5: Students can apply for 5 courses (maximum)

Step 6: UCAS fee for single choice is £22.50 and for multiple choice it is £27

Step 7: You can track your application on UCAS

They have these facilities for UG & PG international applicants. Once you have been informed of your application through the University they will send you an email inviting you to register for an account. Once this has been validated, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to view and apply for your accommodation

Once you’ve decided to secure your reservation, you will be requested to accept a residential contract.

Also on-campus housing is for single person only. There is no on-campus provision for families, spouse and the University does not offer childcare.

Q:   What is the fees of BSc at University of Hull?

 International applicants need to pay a tuition fee deposit before the start of the course. The average fees for B.Sc. for Indian student is INR 11.24 L - 27.78 L

The Uni of Hull offers housing for Indian students, with prices starting from GBP 99 a week (Around INR 12k). The maxium price can go up to GBP 315 (Around INR 39k). There are 2,300+ rooms available. Some of the options where students can live are Westfield Court, The Courtyard, Taylor Court.
