To apply to Alliant International University, prospective students must submit an online application along with a $65 non-refundable application fee. Applications are reviewed and accepted year-round, so students may apply at any time. Upon submission of the online application, students must mail all official transcripts and any required documents not uploaded with the application to Alliant International University. International students must complete their application and submit all required materials at least six weeks prior to the start of the semester/term.

Alliant International University requires a minimum TOEFL score of 75 for the Internet-based test or an IELTS score of 6.5 for all programs except TESOL. The TESOL master’s programme requires minimum scores of 80 internet-based test for Masters and 83 for EdD. For CEFR, B2 is required for master's level and doctoral level and for iTEP Academic, 3.5 is required for master's level and 4.0 for doctoral level.

International students living abroad must complete their application and submit all required materials at least six weeks prior to the start of the semester/term, have a valid I-20/DS-2019 on file at least 30 days prior to start, have visa approved at least 2 weeks prior to start, and arrive in the country no more than 30 days prior to the first day of the applicable semester/term. For international students living in the U.S. (transfer), they must have a valid I-20/DS-2019 on file at least 30 days prior to start and have visa approved at least 2 weeks prior to start.
