Tips: I found the university quite promising yet overwhelming at first, but once I got into the flow of things, I really started seeing Syracuse for what it is. Tips: Syracuse is much larger than I'd imagine and has students from all across the world. Faculty is also diverse and adequately represented. You will have to learn to advocate for yourself in order to stand out. What I like here is that all our needs are met, be it within classrooms or outside. Before you reach campus, it's a good idea to figure out your housing situation by taking the help of the student communities and befriending your fellow classmates while in India itself.

Promising place to learn.
Tips: I have transitioned into a more confident, aware, and independent individual after a lot of adjustment. The city is welcoming and filled with passionate and creative people. I found it helpful to socialise by attending mixers and joining study groups and clubs that aligned with my interests or where I learned something new. Waterproof shoes have been a very useful hack because of the weather.
Likes (Indian Food): The city's diversity, especially the large Indian population, means there are plenty of restaurants and food joints offering various cuisines, not just North Indian. While some cooking essentials are a bit pricey, everything is readily available and close to campus.

The university is good but slightly overrated.
Tips: Honesty, if you are keen on studying in the States, you should try for a better college, and you should only seriously consider going if you have some form of scholarship or backup, because it just won't be worth it otherwise. I have learnt a lot here, but I would not make the same decisions if I had another chance. But, it might suit some people, so you should keep an open mind, be a part of campus initiatives and focus on landing a job after graduation.
