A: 

The University of Indianapolis provides financial aid to international students in the form of academic and athletic scholarships and grants. Based on the information submitted, departmental interest awards are added to merit scholarships. The different types of scholarships include merit scholarships, departmental scholarships, legacy scholarships, and transfer student scholarships. 

The scholarships offered to the undergraduate international students are described below: 

Merit Scholarships:

1.     Richard G. Lugar Academic Recognition Award: A scholarship of USD 17,000 to USD 20,000 per year is offered to international students based on their high school GPAs and academic skills. Students are required to have a GPA of 2.5 to 2.7 to renew the scholarship every year. 

2.     Horizon Grant: A scholarship of USD 13,500 to USD 15,000 per year is offered to the students based on their high school GPAs and academic skills. Students are required to have a GPA of 2.0 and full-time attendance for scholarship renewal every year.

Leadership Scholarships:

1.     Legacy Award: A scholarship of USD 1,500 annually is offered to freshmen undergraduate students whose parent or grandparent is an alumnus or holds a degree from the university. Students are required to have a 2.0 GPA and full-time attendance to renew the scholarship every year. 

Transfer Student Scholarships:

1.     Transfer Academic Award: A scholarship of USD 5,000 to USD 15,000 is offered to the students based on transferable university-level credit hours and GPA. A GPA of 2.0 to 2.7 and full attendance are required to renew the scholarship. 

Departmental Scholarships:

Departmental Scholarships are offered to the students according to their study departments. The scholarship amount varies based on departments and the GPA/academic qualifications of the students. For details, students can refer to the university website.
