Swansea Uni History
On Jul 19, 1920, King George V laid Swansea U’s foundation stone and the institution started its journey with 89 students, including 8 females. By Sep 1939, the university was home to 485 students and 65 staff members. Starting with the establishment of the South Wales Miners' Library in 1973, numerous centres and academic schools were founded.
In 2015, the Swansea Bay campus was founded, which comprises the College of Engineering and the School of Management.
