The application process at Farmingdale State College is as follows:

Students can apply via Common Application or SUNY application.

Submit the official secondary school and postsecondary transcripts.

Farmingdale requires that documents are translated and evaluated by a member of NACES.

Submit the required documents:

• English proficiency test scores.
• Personal essay including why they wish to attend Farmingdale State College along with a description of their future academic and career goals. 
• Photocopy of the passport page.
• Two letters recommended
• Financial documents, including financial proof of $40,000, International Student Financial Statement, Affidavit of Support, and bank statements.

Getting into Farmingdale State College is moderately competitive. Students that get into Farmingdale have an average SAT score between 1000-1180 or an average ACT score of 19-24. A minimum GPA of approximately 3.0 to 3.5 is typically required, depending on the program. International student application deadlines for the year 2025 are June 1 for Fall admission and November 1 for Spring admission.
