Q:   What are the top Scholarships for Indian Students at Minnesota State University and how to avail them?

There are many scholarships for International students at MSU which includes Indian students itself. The two most popular ones are;

1-     International Maverick Scholarship.

To avail this scholarship an International student must:

  • Maintain valid F-1 or J-1 immigration status
  • Achieve a term GPA of 2.5 or a cumulative Minnesota State Mankato GPA of 3.0
  • Successfully earn/complete a minimum of 12 credits each semester Complete 30 hours of volunteer service each academic year.

This scholarship is for all new under-grad students and the ones who maintain the aforesaid pointers from year 1 automatically get it renewed in consecutive years.

2-     Global Maverick scholarship.

To assist students from underrepresented countries, Global Education sponsors 20 scholarships for first-year F-1 students from target locations. Each scholarship is valued at $4,000 and awarded over 4 years of undergraduate study. Additionally, each recipient will receive personalized help in securing on-campus employment starting their first semester on-campus.

Except these there are also scholarships (ONE-TIME) awarded on past academics and referral scholarships too of 500$ that referrer and referee both will get.
