Admission to the College of Engineering requires meeting one of several standards: composite ACT of 24, SAT of 1180, ACT Math subscore of 24, SAT Math subscore of 580, or a 3.5 cumulative GPA. A composite ACT score of 28 or greater (or equivalent SAT) allows admission even if certain science or math units are lacking. Students with an ACT score of 19 or less in English or a grade lower than B in high school English must take ENGL 150 or ENGL 151.

Tips: Students should know that UNL is one of the most inclusive universities you could ever find. The people of Nebraska are the most friendly and welcoming people you can find. UNL has. Student organisations and other resources help you immensely to settle into college life and succeed academically. The campus is very safe and inclusive. Diversity and inclusion are given utmost importance. UNL helped me grow professionally and emotionally and I made everlasting bonds with my peers.
Likes (Post study jobs): UNL held a career fair every semester where you could meet potential recruiters from companies from every field. UNL also has a job board where companies post different entry-level jobs for graduates or intern positions. All around the year, different companies visit UNL and hold seminars that students can attend.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There aren't any good Indian restaurants in Lincoln. You have to travel to Omaha, which is around 45 minutes by car if you want to have good Indian food. However, you can find Nepali restaurants in Lincoln that are close to the city campus. There are other cuisines you can explore, such as Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Mexican.
