About Langara College
Langara College was founded as a Canadian-based public college in Vancouver, B.C., in 1965 as a part of the Vancouver Community College and got established as an independent public college under the Provincial College and Institute Act in 1994. As of now, Langara College is one of BC’s leading post-secondary institutions, providing university studies and career studies. More than 130 courses are offered for a total student strength at the college of 19,000, with the students representing 95 countries.
In Fall 2024, the total strength of international students stood at 4,500+, while in Spring 2025, it was 3,800+ of the total 12,000+ students admitted by LU. LU completed 49 years in 2019 while also celebrating its 25th anniversary as an independent public institute. The current location of the college at West 49th Avenue has housed programs since 1970. In 1997, Langara College Continuing Studies was established.

Langara College admission requirements for PG Diploma in Applied Planning course is having a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. An English language proficiency score is also required. The duration of this course is 3 consecutive semesters or 4 consecutive semesters with experiential learning work term.
