McMaster University History
Initially, the university began offering courses across three faculties, namely Arts, Science and Divinity. In 1930, the university moved from Toronto to Hamilton.
In 1957, McMaster University Canada became a publicly funded, non-denominational institution. In the year 1965, the university's medical school was founded. Later in 1974, the following faculties were established: Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Science and Social Sciences.
