Eastern Medical College is academically oriented but there are no part-time opportunities.

Tips: There are some things you should know before you join a college. Learn the culture, and be aware of the food habits in the country. There are exams that you must pass, and it is helpful to know about them in advance. It is very similar to the one in India. I think the most important part is that you get a lot of practice with real patients. Overall, I am satisfied with the medical curriculum and the country.

Likes (Safety): There is full security both for boys and girls. All time security guards & CCTV cameras are there to watch. Outside campus, there are policemen for security in each and every place like market, shops, malls, fair, the religious places, etc. In this country, there is extra regard for medical students.

Dislikes (Part time work): During the MBBS course, there are no part-time job opportunities on campus. Off-campus, there are opportunities for part-time hospital jobs. It is hard to find time during the MBBS course to work, but you can make around 20,000 taka per month if you get hired.
