By the 2022/23 academic year, the enrollment at College of the Rockies have risen to more than 2,300 full-time equivalent students at all the campuses. There are around 200 international full-time equivalent students from more than 30 countries. A number of programs are offered by COTR. These programs are offered at Diploma, Certificate, and Associate level. One bachelor’s level programme is also offered.
If the students graduate from an academic programme of COTR, they can apply for a post-graduation work permit. To be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit, the applicants should meet the following conditions:
- Successfully completed a Certificate of at least 8 months in length or a 2-year Diploma, or the 4-year BBA degree from the College of the Rockies
- Note that a 3-year work permit is available to students who have completed a 2-year Diploma or the 4-year BBA degree
- In case, the programme was less than 2 years (Certificate), then the work permit length cannot be longer than the length of your program
- Also, make sure that you are eligible for PGWP before applying for the same. You have 180 days after your college issues the final marks to apply for a PGWP
- Also, students must have a valid Canada study permit
In general terms, Co-op education offers students an opportunity to try out career options and gain valuable paid work experience in their respective study field. Most of the college’s programs are optional which means that the students are going to apply at the start of their first take, take a co-op prep course in the first year, and then complete the co-op work term between first year and second year.
