Learning, adjusting, and growing at Fanshawe College.
Tips: The transition involved a cultural shift, especially in classroom participation and communication style but the diverse campus and support services provided make the adjustment easier. I did not avail of any scholarships. Satisfied with the college, the business Diploma and life in Canada.
Likes (Indian Food): All kinds of Indian restaurants can be found around my college and in the city. There are many restaurants that serve South Indian food, many Punjab restaurants and Gujarat restaurants as well. I prefer cooking myself but as classes got more demanding, I had difficulty managing my college, work and cooking at home. Hence I had to resort to tiffin service for my meals.
Dislikes (Safety): Apart from campus security, Fanshawe provides a well lit campus emergency call station controller building access, CCTV surveillance, safety apps and student support services. I recall a bad experience I had in the city. I once noticed a guy who was armed and was on the street opposite to me. Luckily, the incident caused me no harm apart from a bit of fear as it was around midnight and there was no one on the street except me.
