- Honours in philosophy with an A- (or 3.7 GPA) in at least 12 credits of third- and fourth-year philosophy courses, OR:
- An A- (or 3.7 GPA) in at least 12 credits of course work, with courses typically including the following with a B+ (or 3.3 GPA) in each:
- 3 credits in formal logic,
- 6 credits at the upper level in the history of philosophy,
- 3 credits at the upper level in ethics or value theory, and
- 6 credits at the upper level in metaphysics, epistemology, or philosophy of science.
- Applicants must have a four-year Bachelor's Degree or a Master's degree with a First Class/Division 1 (65%) or Very Good (8 on a 10-point scale)
- Applicants should have their bachelor degree in Engineering, Forestry or Medicine, Bachelor's degree
