Good but that not great.
Tips: It's a good experience. Faculty is good and you won't face any discrimination based on ethnicity, etc. Also, Dubai is super strict on crime, so safety is another advantage. One disadvantage is high costs but still costs are way less than, let's say, London or NYC.
Likes (Student Life): It's Dubai so there's always something to do. Also the classroom is super diverse which makes it much more fun to interact with people from all countries and ethnicities. College also does its best to organize fest and stuff pretty often which also makes it more fun.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It's a good program but not many companies come to hire. The ones that come offer less salary. You need to get some good internships and get good grades to get into a good company. You can even apply for jobs off campus and easily get good jobs, considering you have good stats.

Dubai campus is very well connected with public transportation.
Tips: Just that the cost of living here is high compared to India, and placements are good compared to India. Of course you get some better exposure here but if you are street smart, you can also grab these opportunities while staying back in India through offcampus.
Likes (Public transportation): Dubai campus is very well connected with almost all parts of the city. Cab services are there and public transport is also available and its affordable too. But getting a cab is also affordable and convenient. Public transport accepts student ID and it gets you the benefit.
Dislikes (Value for money): It's not value for money, coming from another country for the same degree but with better exposure. It's good if you can afford this but I will surely deny if you are coming here after getting a hefty loan, then it's a straight no. Because packages are good but not that good it will eventually grow.

Great experience but the living expenses are too high.
Tips: This cost is not justified. It's too high. This education provides exposure but it also impoverishes you. The living expenses are too high and you may not be able to recover your investment through your job. Don't rush into this. Think it over carefully before you invest. Don’t worry about the stuff you have to do. Just relax enjoy yourself and have fun. Lots of social things happen here, but it’s still very important to focus. Also be careful about money because this can be a very expensive place to live.

Amity University is more than just a University.
Tips: International students must achieve a minimum score of 5.5 or higher in the IELTS and have a minimum score of 60 out of 120 in the TOEFL exam. I didn't get any scholarship. But yes some friends of mine who achieved 93% or above in the CBSE board or equivalent were provided 100% Amity University Dubai scholarship.
Likes (Public transportation): Amity University Dubai provides the university community with safe, reliable transportation; students living in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman can use their bus service to pick up students in the morning and drop them off after classes. Day pass: AED 15 approximately.
Dislikes (Part time work): You can work part-time however, you need to provide a signed permission letter from whoever is sponsoring your residence visa and you need a part-time work permit as well. The teaching part of the course is excellent. You also get internship and training opportunities at the international level. Private it depends, but yes the job opportunities are fewer but the ones that you get are really worth it. Wages for part-time work may range from AED 15 to AED 30 per hour.

A Supportive University Experience in Tropical Australia
Tips: If you're looking at JCU Cairns, the biggest thing to wrap your head around is the location. It's an incredibly supportive campus with a massive focus on hands-on research, but you’re literally living right on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Moving here was a pretty smooth transition for me, though I’m not going to lie—adapting to the intense tropical heat and the way Aussie unis expect you to study completely independently took some serious getting used to. There’s definitely a bit of a culture shock when it comes to speaking up in class and adjusting to the laid-back lifestyle, but the university support teams and the huge mix of international students made it way easier to find my feet. I was lucky enough to score a scholarship based on my grades, which took a massive chunk out of my tuition fees. Looking back, I’m so glad I came here. Between the solid education, the welcoming vibes, and the chance to actually grow as a person, I’d absolutely tell anyone thinking about applying to just go for it.
Likes (Post study jobs): I gave post-study jobs a top 5/5 rating simply because the payoff was massive for me—I managed to land a really solid role with the Northern Territory Government right after finishing up my degree. The job market across Australia has plenty of openings, and a lot of employers are genuinely open to sponsoring you if your skills match what they're crying out for. Obviously, the number of companies willing to sort out visas shifts from year to year, but if you're in fields like engineering, IT, healthcare, education, or government sectors, you’ve got a massive head start. You see people jumping into everything from graduate officer and analyst roles to project coordination and engineering gigs. Plus, the money is seriously decent—you’re looking at anywhere from 60k to well over 100k Aussie dollars a year depending on where you land and your experience. Honestly, my own track record has been awesome; walking straight into a well-paying government job with a clear path to move up the ladder made the whole uni grind totally worth it
Dislikes (Internships): I gave internships a middle-of-the-road 3 out of 5 mostly because they weren't a mandatory part of my specific degree, so I didn't actually end up doing one myself. To be fair, JCU does have a career services team and some decent industry links to point you in the right direction if you're looking. But going off what a bunch of my mates who actually did placements said, the whole experience was completely hit-or-miss. A few of them felt like they were just pulling a shift without actually learning anything useful or getting any real, hands-on experience that mapped back to our classes. So while the openings are out there, it honestly feels like a total lottery depending on the company you end up with and the actual role they stick you in.

Master of Marine Biology - Batch of 2024
Offered by James Cook University - Australia
3.4
Great university for international students.
Tips: JCU the multicultural college and is pretty easy-going. Talking to people from many nationalities has been a lovely experience. Studying a degree in marine sciences at JCU gives a lot more advantages as you are right on the GBR. Everyone at JCU is very friendly and that encourages students to ask questions.
Most professors are lovely too. I'm quite satisfied with my university with the marine biology master's. Australia is a wonderful country to be in, especially if you love nature - here people love their 5-9s as much as they love their 9-5s.
Likes (Student Life): JCU has a very large student community and is very engaging. There are many events and clubs at uni that students enroll into and are very casual and outgoing. Events are quite regular on campus grounds and are very encouraging for people to meet. I must say the orientation program is at 10 on 10 with making people feel comfortable chatting.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The buses in Townsville are never on time and sometimes don't even arrive. It is quite recommended to have a car or life becomes very difficult. Not all areas of Townsville are connected by bus routes. Cabs are available but are very expensive and sometimes you don't get them. Travelling at night should not be done by bus as it can be pretty weird.
