Hochschule Darmstadt Review
Tips: The university is very course- and syllabus-oriented. Attending lectures is important, unlike TUs. If preparing well, you can complete the course in 2 years. Hochschule Darmstadt provides good practical knowledge. They provide scholarships also; we can find them on the university website.
Likes (Value for money): Students have flexible time to study and also manage part-time work. If you're looking. For. Job or part-time Along with work, then the exams and semester can be planned accordingly, and you can manage both. I would recommend HDA for the same reason.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Faculty are industry-experienced and have great knowledge. They teach theory and lab as well. Teachers have experience from famous MNCs in Germany. They are very friendly and guide us through all doubts and also prepare us for exams. They also help us with our projects and thesis.

Great faculty and strong exposure to industry.
Tips: Being fluent in German is very, very important. Not only will it be easier for you to attend the lectures given by your professors but you will also struggle to make a good proper, structured friend circle, if you are not fluent in German. Also, Germans take punctuality very seriously including public transport etiquette.
Likes (Value for money): The semester fee is less than 400 euros for 6 months.
You get a ticket in which public transportation is covered as well. Ofcourse for private studienkolleg it's very expensive, but Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is public. You also get a pass with which you can enter libraries. You can access the library Wi-Fi as well, using your student number. So I would say it's a pretty good value for money.
Dislikes (Internships): Professors are themselves tied to industries, so it's easier to get an insight into what you want. Furthermore they are extremely helpful; all of the studies are done in an interactive manner, making it easier to understand and develop new skills.

A skill development oriented university with a lot of practical exercises to develop oneself.
Tips: The exams are very different from the ones in India. I must add that you are not spoon-fed knowledge. You need to understand the core concepts before you will be able to clear the exams. One thing to keep in mind is that there are no scholarships available from the university, as the fees are pretty much free. Another thing that could be considered a perk is that if you really shine, you will have the opportunity to work with the professor on challenging projects.
Likes (Value for money): The quality of the lectures is good. The university focuses on practical exercises of high standards that develop your skillset. The fees are definitely justified. We get a free mandatory German course and a semester ticket for the Deutschland regional train network that allows us to travel all over Germany.
Dislikes (Part time work): Language is the main problem in finding a part-time job. You still have options to work at a snacks factory, McDonald's, or an Amazon warehouse. It’s a bit difficult to manage both a part-time job and studies if you plan on taking all the subjects of the semester. The average basic pay is about 12.7 €.

Student-Friendly and Globally Oriented Experience
Tips: I had experienced a lot of cultural shifts; one of the most shocking was that everything closes at 8 pm. And everything is very regulated. You need to be disciplined and active. I am satisfied with the university because of its international exposure and, obviously, with the country for its good culture.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The city is very student-friendly, and after completing your degree program, if you are placed at a good company, you are much more likely to settle in this country permanently. Yes, it is a beautiful place and offers peace of mind with regulated work hours.
Dislikes (Internships): I have communicated to the seniors that there's a mandatory internship semester, and students can get jobs from the university page as well. Additionally, it is easier to find internships for a German speaker; one should have at least B1-level proficiency.

Tips: In Germany, most colleges are quite similar. Students should prioritise job applications and mandatory internship certifications, as they significantly increase internship opportunities. Furthermore, maintaining good interaction with lecturers is also important. I am qite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): You can have a better life with fewer job-related worries, secure jobs, and a stable life. You can also return to India anytime, unlike other countries. If you are fluent in the local language, nothing will stand in your way, even though the taxes might be a bit high. However, we can file for a tax return to get the money back.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I couldn't find any better Indian food, although there are Indian restaurants, the taste wasn't great. However, I can find better groceries, and there are 2-3 Indian stores where we can find almost everything. Apart from that, everything is good, and we can make many dishes.

Campus is really big and friendly. Amenities are almost amazing.
Tips: Students have to focus more on the subjects they are choosing. Some course names and subjects are different. I also need to check about accommodation and part-time jobs. Also, this university is located in a small town, so take some time to think before making a decision.
Likes (Safety): I worked late sometimes. I personally feel that when you are coming from other countries, safety is the first concern for parents. Here in Germany, I found there’s strict law and order followed by the citizens. Also, the police patrol at night and day, protecting people from bad influences.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule is focused on practical applications. Most of the faculty are from the industry, and the university organizes seminars for practical experience. The faculty focuses on practical matters. The examination pattern is amazing. I almost got a full-time job while I was there in my master's program. Project courses are also included.
