MA- Arts Administration and Cultural Policy - Batch of 2020
4.1
Diversity, interdisciplinary and fun.
Tips: There is a great first week of introduction when the entire college comes together and gets to know each other through various events and programs. I was also part of Goldsmiths badminton team, representing the college. Sports are also a great way to get to know different students at the college. They do have scholarship options. Living in London and being in London was a joy.
Likes (Post study jobs): I completed my postgraduation during Covid, yet I was still able to immediately get a job in my field. Goldsmiths is one of the top colleges in the UK and even during Covid, it made 100% that students get the best learning experience. This made it easier for me to know and understand my field of work better than the rest of my contemporaries.
Dislikes (Indian Food): London is filled with people from Indian origin and South Asia, hence it's pretty easy to feel right at home with regards to food. There are various ways to be part of the different fairs, and a chance to have culinary experiences from around the world, thanks to London.

Felt ill-equipped in the job market. Made great friends though.
Tips: You'll have fun, but regular strikes and the tense political climate do make your future tenuous. And if you manage to even get interviews, be prepared to be seriously low balled. The government has made it hard for even well meaning companies to sponsor international talent. Your money can be better spent if you wish to plan your future abroad.
Likes (Indian Food): Absolutely love London's food scene. There are many Indian restaurants for when you feel homesick. I prefer cooking but if I'm in the mood for eating out there are a million options. It can get super expensive though so you must learn how to meal prep.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Terrible job market and anti immigration policies. You definitely don't get your money's worth in terms of long term prospects. They do not prepare you for the job market, imbibe very half baked skills. The money we pay is mainly to sustain the bankrupt universities, not for quality education.

Public transport in London is absolutely amazing.
Tips: Transitioning after coming here was really easy. It's very easy to meet new people and make new friends as everyone here so social and the university is very encouraging of people from different backgrounds and courses socializing and will even host a lot of events just for that. I got a scholarship of 4000 through the university website. Extremely satisfied with my university, course, faculty and the UK. It's been an amazing experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport in London is absolutely amazing and the most convenient. Bus fare is fairly cheap and affordable and you can get anywhere by spending just 1.75 per trip. Train travel is a bit more on the expensive side but really fast if you want to get somewhere far.
Dislikes (Internships): There aren't many internships that Goldsmiths offers in my field of study, but they do have a lot of opportunities in Fine Arts as it's mainly an art university. Their CareerSPACE portals are really helpful for finding paid or volunteering opportunities.

This place changes the way you see the world.
Tips: The university is very liberal. Everyone finds their space here. Though I’ve lived and worked abroad before, it left me feeling more culturally aware, more opinionated and confident in my thoughts. It connected me deeply to my art. Besides that, London is a fabulous city. Lots of things to do, so much to explore and everyone finds their area of interest.
Likes (Student Life): There are lots of clubs and events for students to mingle with. The campus is huge and very student friendly. The events organised by the student clubs are also great. Lots of opportunities to network and meet new people often. Though a lot of these activities are for Bachelors courses. Masters students usually have so much to do that there’s little time to spend on the campus.
Dislikes (Internships): Unless you have good experience, this course won’t prepare you to find good opportunities. There will be free internships and full support to find those from the university but paid ones are hard to find. There are good networking opportunities though.

Be open minded before joining Goldsmiths.
Tips: To have an open mind to everything, to be able understand way beyond just what is happening around you. I got scholarships too. I’m very satisfied.
It was a game changing experience for me.
Every time I think of Goldsmiths, I think of the personality differences I had after studying there. I opened up to the core of myself, to be able to receive and then to be able to build.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It’s closer to the London Bridge and the central area. Events like welcoming events in the first week of your uni and then every festival you can celebrate your own way. Chinese New Year, Christmas. All types of communities are on campus. You need to choose what you resonate with.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): They’re very different from other professors. At Goldsmiths nothing for right or wrong. They were open to understanding your pov. Teachings were more experiential and that made it easier and fun plus very useful. The faculty is very diverse. But you’ll find less Asians as professors, more all over the world maybe now things have changed.

BA in Design - Batch of 2023
4.1
Good learning environment and helpful faculty.
Tips: I was an introvert to say the least. This university gave me the wings to take off, express myself and my views creatively and am glad to say that I'm a changed person altogether than how I was when I joined in 2019. I'd applied through clearing, hence didn't avail any scholarships, but people do get options of it, quite decent ones.
Likes (Quality of faculty): In my time at Goldsmiths, I never had to worry about the tutors at all. Each of them possesses the best knowledge from reputed institutes that they've graduated from, and the way they impart knowledge, as well as the ticks and methods they use, is quite commendable. Since I studied design, there would be interesting lectures and workshops for us to understand things. I would any day go back and get back to being taught by them. We had British tutors in our course, but some were Asian, South African, and of Indian descent.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Around Goldsmiths University of London, New Cross, Indian food is available but mediocre as you would find in central London or towards Wembley. They have takeaway options and many restaurants are 15-20 minutes away by public transport. I preferred cooking myself to have fresh food and dietary restrictions being a Jain. But, I would also eat out once in a while, not always Indian. But, apart from Indian food, there are many other restaurants and takeaways that are quite amazing - multiple cuisines are available in the area - Italian, Lebanese, Turkish, Pan Asian, and of good quality. There are many amazing cafes too.

MA in Brands, Communication & Culture - Batch of 2024
4.2
An all encompassing system and experience.
Tips: People here are politically and socially woke, and very welcoming.
Extremely liberal and friendly environment.
A great balance between social and academic lives.
Sensitive to the needs and expectations of the students such as neurodivergence, mental healthcare, gender and orientation, accessibilities.
Very satisfied.
Likes (Public transportation): There's an overground station right across the campus.
Two bus stops a few hundred metres apart from each other, both close to the university premises.
A DLR station within a 15-minute radius.
Extremely accessible with several pubs and cafes around.
Fun arts culture, great experience.
A liberal atmosphere.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK is currently going through a period of recession which has reduced the scope of immigration and settlement options in the country. Permanent immigration seems like a considerable option however, given the new immigration laws and the recession that's going on in the UK immigrating isn't as easy as it once was.

Average college if you want to come to Ireland.
Tips: Get in touch with the international office and submit the important documents on time. There are finest taken and some things are serious. Connect with some students so as to not face difficult situations. College has good sports teams basketball, football etc. The student union also listens to students. For me, it has not been much time here but internships and placements are okay. Accommodation needs to be researched beforehand so that there is no problem in the end. It is an okay college if you want to come here.
