Small sized school, good to build connections!
Tips: Academically it is very tough but it is just to make students tough to deal with the industry that they will be going to. I received an academic scholarship of $36000 during my first year. My course curriculum was good and it had everything that was needed. Students can live in a suite or in a tower on-campus. It is recommended to live in dorms only during the first year.
Likes (Safety): It is safe on campus and there is a facility where the school picks up the students if they have missed the bus or train. I would suggest that if you are moving around and going for trips go with a group as it increases the safety and will not make a student counter a situation pertaining to it.
Dislikes (Value for money): This is a small size school and there is a good chance to build lifetime connections plus the diversity adds value to it. Apart from this, there is an option to study diverse subjects which is something every student would look out for. The school also offers scholarships to meritorious students but I would still say that it's a bit overpriced as compared to the value offered by other institutions around.

Tips: Before joining RIT, students should be aware of various things, including internship opportunities, living expenses, university faculty, and the program outcome. Professors help get RA/TA positions, and that helps a student's profile stand out. There are many on-campus jobs available, including RAS and TAS, that students can apply for through the college's online portals. The professors are helpful, too. The university does a good job of letting students know about available jobs. In addition, the research experience you get as an RA or TA gives you an edge when you're applying for internships.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has portals where students can apply for internships. The university helps students with their applications and with resume building. There are also research assistantships and teaching assistantships available for students, and this research experience helps them with their future careers. Internships showcase your profile.

Tips: Stressful academics and apart from this everything will be soothing in the college. Very helpful faculty members and good part-time job opportunities, one more good thing about this university is it offers co-op (CPT) which most of the universities won't support.
