Tips: Before joining RIT, students should be aware of various things, including internship opportunities, living expenses, university faculty, and the program outcome. Professors help get RA/TA positions, and that helps a student's profile stand out. There are many on-campus jobs available, including RAS and TAS, that students can apply for through the college's online portals. The professors are helpful, too. The university does a good job of letting students know about available jobs. In addition, the research experience you get as an RA or TA gives you an edge when you're applying for internships.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has portals where students can apply for internships. The university helps students with their applications and with resume building. There are also research assistantships and teaching assistantships available for students, and this research experience helps them with their future careers. Internships showcase your profile.

Tips: Stressful academics and apart from this everything will be soothing in the college. Very helpful faculty members and good part-time job opportunities, one more good thing about this university is it offers co-op (CPT) which most of the universities won't support.

Tips: Students coming here should be aware that it is cheap as compared to other countries but then it also depends upon your field of study. If you are awarded scholarships then it becomes much easier. Tuition fees depend on your study materials and field. If you start earning part-time then it will help your daily expenses. Although, it is difficult to find on-campus part-time jobs. So come prepared.
Dislikes (Part time work): It's illegal in USA to do part time jobs off campus. Also near my location, not that many vacancies are available but it is legal to do it on campus. There are issues for on-campus jobs like so many students are there from the last sesmester already applying for these jobs so chances are dim.
