College is very good, friendly and welcoming.
Tips: Must learn the German language before coming to Germany because it will be easier to find good jobs. The rest of the college is very good and kindly look for accommodation before heading. Students should know that SRH focuses a lot on self learning and practical work so being proactive and managing time well is important.
Likes (Quality of faculty): After coming to Germany, every student will start growing in terms of maturity like students can be more independent which helps them to grow for the future. Moreover, it offers a balanced environment with academics, social activities and a diverse student community.
Dislikes (Student Life): The professors are knowledgeable, supportive and bring real- world insights into teaching. The faculty are very approachable and easy to reach. Always open to questions and answers. Faculty is also diverse with professors from different nationalities.

Limited internship opportunities.
Tips: The cultural shift will be the biggest change, involving people, food, and lifestyle. The bureaucracy is also high in Germany. Students should actively pursue scholarships, as they are not easily available, so stay updated each semester and ask the university before accepting admission. The university has its ups and downs, but it is well-situated in the city centre, and the course is informative with a reasonable study structure that I appreciate. Be aware that the country can be expressive and, at times, a bit racist.
Likes (Public transportation): We get a Deutschland ticket from the university each semester, which we would have previously had to pay for. This ticket allows access to all forms of public transportation throughout Germany. Alternatively, you can purchase it monthly for 30 euros.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market in Germany has been challenging for the past couple of years. Even with strong skills, it's difficult to secure a full-time position if you don't have good German language proficiency, which is the main reason for rejections from most companies.

Good among privates but don’t compare it with public university.
Tips: One thing students need to know is that it doesn’t matter whether you go to a public or private university, you have to work hard. Sometimes you’re working so hard that you don’t even have time to eat. I feel the tuition fee is justified for the quality they are giving, but I think there's definitely room for improvement. The Hamburg campus, specifically, needs to upgrade some aspects of its ADSA course, which is brand-new here. I think they need some more good lecturers, since the course only has two right now. Other than that, it's a great place for data science students, especially because there are a lot of opportunities in the field. That said, I'm mostly satisfied with this university and I like my course. This country is beautiful, too. But be ready to have a tough time.

No internship opportunities and able to communicate in German is a must.
Tips: I am not satisfied because they are not helping with internships. In Germany, everything is possible if we have references. This course is in English and I am looking for an internship where not that German is required as I am learning German but I am not that fluent so they should help us with how can I find an internship in any startup. Besides, the public transportation facility is affordable and convenient to go to any part of the country.

Friendly and supportive college.
Tips: SRH Berlin University has totally changed my life. It helped me in making good relations with everyone I was not the type of guy who interacted with anyone but after coming here, that was just one way to live by making good bonds, and friends. The food here is too expensive so I learned to cook myself so that I can save my money. The university is so expensive that not everybody can afford it. I feel very comfortable here because discipline is of the utmost importance. The officers, professors are very helpful and cooperative in any kind of problem. They are always there to guide to assist. The staff, the students, everybody is very friendly and of a supportive nature. The only thing to think about before coming here is just the budget as it is quite expensive than other universities.

If you guys have money and wanna explore then this is the best university.
Tips: If you guys have money and want to explore then this is the best university. They give good knowledge in-terms of core subjects. Professors are friendly and supportive. What I would suggest for others is before applying for SRH, they should try for a public university which can save a lot of euros.

Excellent college to get quality education
Tips: SRH campus Hamburg offers various programs with innovative, interesting and creative syllabus. Masters programs are not only focusing on theory but also execution as well. The campus is relatively new and small compared to public universities, but it is located in the heart of the hamburg with a beautiful terrace and friendly lectures, and lovely colleagues.

Good choice, But not the Best!
Tips: Firstly, do not expect a campus that is in acres such as the public universities. The campus is small and enough for the number of students. Every college has its own advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that there are limited amount of students so you get individual attention from the professor. I didn't find any disadvantage from the University except the tuition fees which is high but it is okay for me.
Likes (Part time work): The Hamburg city is also well known for its port and logistics. Hence there are plenty of part time job opportunities available at shifts of your convenience. You get to work in various jobs such as logistics companies, retail shops, supermarkets. But it is better to search for a student job in your field of interest.
Dislikes (Value for money): Although SRH is a private university, the tuition fees are relatively on a higher side compared to other private universities offering the same course. But it is not big of a problem taking into account that the college is very responsive to students in academics and other activities.

A quiet town with quality technical education.
Tips: Students should know that Schmalkalden is a small and quiet town which is very different from big cities. The environment is peaceful and good for studying but entertainment and nightlife options are limited. The university has a good practical learning approach and modern labs, especially for engineering programs. However, students should be prepared to learn some German because it is very helpful for daily life and part-time jobs. It is also important to plan accommodation early because student dormitories fill up quickly. It is a good university for students who want a focused academic environment. The transition was a bit challenging at first because of the language barrier and cultural differences. In Germany, people are very punctual and organized and everything runs according to rules and schedules. Initially it took some time to adapt to the weather, food habits and the quieter lifestyle of a small town. However the university has a supportive international environment, and interacting with students from different countries helped me adjust. Over time, I became more comfortable with the culture and daily routine here. At the moment, I have not received any scholarship. Most students here usually support themselves through part-time jobs along with their studies. However there are opportunities such as the Deutschlandstipendium and other university or external scholarships that students can apply for based on academic performance or achievements.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food options from my home country (India) are somewhat limited in Schmalkalden. Since it is a small student town, there are not many authentic Indian restaurants nearby. Most of the available options are small fast-food places such as doner kebab shops, pizza places, bakeries, and a few Asian restaurants. If someone wants proper Indian food, they usually have to travel to bigger cities like Erfurt or Frankfurt, where more Indian restaurants are available. Prices in local restaurants are generally around 5-10 for fast food and 10-20 for full meals. Because of this, many international students prefer cooking at home. Indian grocery items can be ordered online or bought from international stores in nearby cities. Personally, I mostly cook my own meals and eat outside occasionally.

Affordable quality education in a peaceful student friendly town.
Tips: Before joining Hochschule Schmalkalden, students should know that it is located in a small and peaceful town, which makes the cost of living affordable and the environment very safe, but it also means there are fewer part-time job opportunities and less nightlife compared to bigger German cities. My transition after arriving was mostly smooth, although I experienced a cultural shift, especially with punctuality, independent study methods, and the importance of basic German language skills in daily life. Over time, it became easier to adapt because the university has a friendly international environment. I did not receive a specific scholarship; however, studying in Germany itself is financially manageable because public universities charge very low tuition fees and mainly a semester contribution.
Likes (Part time work): The programme at Hochschule Schmalkalden offers high-quality education with very low tuition fees compared to many other countries. Students mainly pay only a semester contribution, which includes administrative services and student benefits, while receiving strong academic support, modern laboratories, and practical industry-oriented learning. Additionally, Germany provides good career opportunities and the possibility of part-time work during studies, making the overall return on investment very favourable for international students.
Dislikes (Internships): Before joining Hochschule Schmalkalden, students should know that it is located in a small and quiet town, which is very safe and affordable but has fewer entertainment options and part-time job opportunities compared to larger German cities. After coming here, the transition was generally smooth, although there was a cultural shift, especially in terms of punctuality, independent study style, and the German language used in daily life. However, the university provides good academic support and an international environment, which helps students adapt gradually. I did not receive a specific scholarship, but studying in Germany itself is financially beneficial because public universities charge very low tuition feels and only a semester contribution.

Multicultural university.
Tips: Not a big change, people are friendly and welcoming here. I didn't apply for any scholarships. I'm quite satisfied with my courses and the only shift I experienced was nightlife after 9 or 10. There is no one out and you can't make noise either, and on weekends mostly shops and supermarkets are close even public transport is reduced on weekends.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): If you know German well, there is a very high chance that in only 3 or 4 years you can be a permanent president, and I would definitely like to settle here for life. Talking about my chances, I'm not planning to settle here or anywhere for life. My chances are very high of getting PR because I know B1-B2 german but I guess for citizenship, you need at least C1 level of German. Without language, it's quite hard to survive here.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many companies are available who offers study jobs and they are quite far from here. Salaries are good but if you are ready to travel 1 or 2 hour then you can get a job around in this region. Job packages are normal but in West Germany, salaries are quite good even in part time jobs.

It is good and peaceful to live here, and the neighbours are also very supportive and helpful.
Tips: They are welcoming international students and giving them the support they need. It is so good to live here. Through expatrio, I am spending my monthly expenses. I am so satisfied with my course and university. I am learning more here and the exams are also good.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The cost of living is less and we can lead a peaceful life here. I will permanently immigrate here as life here is healthy and easy. There is 80% chance for me to settle here. People's interaction is very low and they don't like to socialise much either.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is tough to get a part time job here as the opportunities are less compared to the students' population. Managing both studies and part time job is easy and the average payout is 14 euros. To easily get the part time job you must need German B1 level.

A supportive and career focused experience.
Tips: You will feel a complete shift if you come from Asian countries, say India. As you know it is a European country, culture difference is too different. If you are coming to Germany do learn to speak at least up to the B1 level of German. I did not get any scholarships but the allowance given is pretty good, somewhere around 1000. The course is very good, the only drawback is that the university is located in a remote place. If you are a hiking or sports person then this is a great place, the country is quite good.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teachers are very friendly and we can ask any questions at any given time. Every lecture is about 1.5 hours and they guide us in a very good way but most of the studies should be done by us. Almost everyone is German, but they speak very good English.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I am from India and to find an Indian restaurant I have to travel at least 1.5 hours to Eisenach or Erfurt. But apart from that there are pretty good options here. I prefer cooking at home, but sometimes like 2-3 times a month I eat in a restaurant.

Quality education in a safe and peaceful learning environment.
Tips: Students should know that the college is academically focused and well structured but located in a small city so part time jobs and nightlife are limited. The transition was smooth though there was a cultural shift towards punctuality, independence and structured systems which took some time to adapt to. I did not avail myself of any scholarships however there are options available based on merit and financial need. I am satisfied with the university, the course quality and the country especially in terms of education standards safety and work life balance.
Likes (Safety): The city is very calm, student-friendly and has a low crime rate. Apart from campus security, well-lit streets, reliable public transport and quick emergency services contribute to a strong sense of safety. Personally I have had only positive experiences in the city and never felt unsafe, even at night.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work opportunities are limited because the city is relatively small. A few on campus positions are available but they are limited and highly competitive. Off campus opportunities within the city are also restricted so many students travel to nearby larger cities to find part time work in various areas. Managing part-time work alongside academics is generally possible if limited to around 20 hours per week. The average hourly pay ranges between 13 and 15 depending on the job type and location.

A good combination of studies and life.
Tips: After coming here, everything was so different and nice at first, but then the language became a barrier that will affect your daily life. Scholarships are available and you need to study very hard to get those. But the experience was great and amazing for me.
Likes (Student Life): There are many parties and extracurricular activities always going on, and the students are very friendly. People from diverse backgrounds and countries, you'll have the opportunity to experience multicultural activities and make friends from various backgrounds.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The faculty is very knowledgeable and employs an amazing teaching style. You will enjoy your time here, with great opportunities and work options available. College is good and welcoming. The course is more practically oriented.
Tips: Students should really improve their German language and communication skills. If you are an introvert then I would really suggest to be an extrovert. This is the best opportunity and learn about different communities and cultures. Good experiences.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Life in Germany is really good. Air quality is really good. There is no noise or any restriction in the society. People are welcoming. The trekking life is really good. Even though there is one bad thing about the healthcare system that it is expensive but you will never get a cold if you take care of yourself.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): As the language is still an issue there communication in the English language is difficult to understand, and in examination they want answers in short lines which should be crisp and clear and that is fine. But if you attend there lecturers, you might feel sleepy.
