Affordable and friendly college.
Tips: Learning the local language is necessary. Always take care of your spending habits. If you love food, bring your own spices from India, the spices here are too bland. Also, remember to bring warm clothes, it gets down to -50 in the winter. Take care of your health and then you’ll be able to study well.
Likes (Public transportation): The most affordable transportation is the bus. But in summer electric scooters are also available. You can also book cabs. You'll only require them when visiting a mall for recreation. Several bus stops are there near the university and dorms. The dorms are very near the university, at a walking distance so public transportation won't be necessary.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are currently no Indian restaurants available. But you can cook several Indian dishes yourself. Personally, I prefer cooking myself, but sometimes when I'm too tired to cook, I treat myself to junk like pizza, burgers, or subways. These places are very close to the university.

A great choice for international students for MBBS.
Tips: Initially, I felt some cultural differences, especially in communication style and social norms. However, the orientation program and cultural events helped me settle in quickly. I learned a lot about dates, local customs, and traditions. The school has free or low-cost health care services, including vaccinations, checkups, and treatment for illness. It also has a group of student volunteers who try to make the campus a safer place, with a mobile app for students to alert their friends in case of an emergency. And there's a whole team of trained counsellors who offer support for students dealing with mental health, stress, and trauma. My only regret is that I didn’t get any scholarships. On the other hand, I’m satisfied with my winning city and course. The location provides a world-class education, and my courses provide me with valuable skills and knowledge.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in our department is highly accessible and approachable and supportive learning environment they maintain an open door policy, encouraging students to see guidance and clarification on coursework department. Teaching methodology is unique in its emphasis on experiential learning.

College campus is very friendly and diverse.
Tips: There is no cultural shift here as everyone is experienced with our culture and gives good living conditions. Unfortunately, as an Indian, I can’t receive any scholarships because they are only available to Russian students. We enjoyed every class. The college organized many events each year, and we participated in and enjoyed every one. There were clubs, including a students' help club and a society club, in the college, and there was a good environment for everyone. The instructors are friendly to all of us and they really seem to care that we learn what we need to. Not only that, but they also help us get a head start by giving us access to the newest tech and online learning options. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience and I have found that my classmates are friendly and that the courses are hard but rewarding.

Teachers are friendly and cooperative.
Tips: Before joining the college you should know about the weather conditions of Surgut. It’s very cold in winter and in the summer there’s lots of vegetation around the university and throughout the whole city. There are also many free libraries around the city where you can study. The public transportation in Surgut is excellent, and it's cheap, too. Plus, it's very accessible to all sorts of things. There are bus stations right next to the university, the dorms, the city malls, etc. The whole thing is a network, so you can get anywhere you want to go. And the buses are so spacious that it's never a problem to find a seat. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are limited options for vegetarians and more options for non-vegetarians. However, there are places like Subway where you can eat vegetarian food if you have continuous classes and no time to go back to the dorm to eat. I would recommend cooking your own food if you have the time.

Surgut State University has more to offer than one might think.
Tips: You might encounter a language barrier and might need to keep up with your studies more seriously on your own. However, the opportunity to explore the different cultures here, and the people and the accommodation, make this college worthwhile. I take my related classes, and the faculty are quite helpful with the subjects and try to help us figure out life here. In the matter of events, we have a cultural fest and more. There are many opportunities to join clubs you prefer like music or any other that you might want to take. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There's no availability of Indian cuisine in the restaurants, so if you're vegetarian it's difficult to get the complete nutrition you need. I personally prefer to cook myself according to my own taste and preferred diet. Fortunately, our company provides a mess.

Best college with minimal drawbacks.
Tips: There are a few things you should be aware of. The weather here can get very cold, with temperatures ranging from -40°C to -50°C. If you are used to spicy food, bring your own because store-bought food here is not very spicy. The public transportation in Surgut is very convenient and also affordable. There are many ways to get around. One option is by bus, which costs around 35 rubles per ride. Another option is Whoosh, a bike service that costs about 4-5 rubles per minute. Both buses and cabs are comfortable and provide a pleasant ride. Not many vegetarian food options are available here. Almost all the foods have non-veg ingredients. Moreover, there aren't many vegetarian options available at stores like Magnit and Pyatrochka, and the vegetarian pizzas available at the Dodo Pizza outlet are too expensive. For us, vegetarian pizza costs around 500 to 800 rubles.

The weather can be very harsh at times but it is manageable.
Tips: Firstly if anyone is thinking about coming here or to Russia for medical studies, they should keep in mind that the temperature here has in negative for eight months where I live, but Russia is very big, so if you manage to get your college in the south, then it would be best. About the food, if you are a strict vegetarian, then you are going to face some problems, otherwise, there are lots more options. There are lots of colleges in Russia, so you can choose according to your needs and the ranking of your colleges. One piece of advice I would like to give is to try to take your college in the south of Russia, then you wouldn’t have to face the harsh weather, and the food is also easily available.
Likes (Safety): I have never felt any threat to my safety even on nights with no other people on the street. I have never witnessed any thefts and the people here are also good and well-mannered. I have seen police and security everywhere and it is very strict so it is very safe.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I'd like to live in some other English-speaking country like the UK or Australia. In Surgut, almost no one knows the English language, so it's difficult for us to communicate, and the temperature here is also extremely cold. Regarding job opportunities, as an English-speaking student, I believe I would have more opportunities in other countries as I don't know the native language here, which would cause me trouble when trying to communicate with patients.

Good college for students who want to study medicine in budget.
Tips: Students from India must carry spices with them. There are very few vegetarian options available in the market, so students must prepare most of their own vegetarian food. Students who obtain admission through an agency will be provided vegetarian food. I don't think I want to settle in Russia permanently, but I do wish to work here. The main problem is the weather in Russia. Winters are extremely cold, with temperatures reaching as low as -50 degrees.
Likes (Value for money): The fee I pay covers the cost of those facilities. I am especially grateful for the help I received from the agency in India that helped me with the documentation and other requirements for admission. The international department at the college is very helpful for students from foreign countries.

It is difficult to manage part-time and studies.
Tips: First of all, the student should pass the NEET exam which is held in India. After passing, you can directly contact the University through their site, mrsu.ru, and then apply and wait for a response. Alternatively, you could go through a study abroad agent, who will take care of everything. But, beware of fraudsters out there. In India, Indian medical graduates and foreign graduates have the same opportunities as doctors, but foreign medical graduates have to first pass the FMG exam to be eligible to practice. Upon passing the exam, one can be a doctor in India or any country except India. I am having a hard time finding time to study with my hectic schedule, and it is hard to balance a job and attending all the events I had hoped to attend. The language barrier has made this experience challenging, too, and I find it difficult to effectively communicate with my employers. I also have been having a hard time managing the cold weather.

Excellent university and wonderful activities. Be aware about the climatic condition.
Tips: The people there are very friendly and polite; they are very good, but keep an eye on the climatic conditions. There's some general information that may help students considering joining a college: Before Joining the College: Research: Understand the college's reputation, curriculum, faculty, and campus life. Course details: Clarify the course structure, duration, and career prospects. Admission process: Familiarize yourself with the application process, deadlines, and requirements. Scholarship opportunities: Explore available scholarships, eligibility criteria, and application procedures. Campus facilities: Know about the college's infrastructure, amenities, and support services.
Likes (Student Life): I didn't rate anything, but I'll provide general information about student life. Student life is a vibrant and dynamic experience that offers a wide range of opportunities for personal growth, learning, and enjoyment. Typical Day in College: A typical day in college can vary depending on the student's schedule and preferences. Here's an overview: 1. Classes: Attend lectures, seminars, and workshops. 2. Study sessions: Spend time studying, reading, and working on assignments. 3. Club activities: Participate in student clubs, organizations, or sports teams. 4. Socializing: Hang out with friends, grab meals together, or attend campus events. 5. Personal time: Pursue hobbies, exercise, or relax. Campus Events: Colleges often organize various events, such as: 1. Cultural festivals: Celebrating diversity and cultural heritage. 2. Concerts and performances: Music, dance, theater, or comedy shows. 3. Guest lectures: Renowned speakers sharing expertise and insights. 4. Workshops and seminars: Skill-building and professional development opportunities. 5. Sports tournaments: Intercollegiate competitions and friendly matches. Student Clubs and Communities: Colleges typically have a range of student clubs and communities, including: 1. Academic clubs: Focused on specific subjects or interests. 2. Cultural organizations: Celebrating diverse backgrounds and traditions. 3. Sports teams: Competitive and recreational teams for various sports. 4. Creative clubs: Music, art, writing, photography, or other creative pursuits. 5. Community service groups: Volunteering and making a positive impact. Participation in campus events and student clubs can vary depending on individual interests and schedules.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated part-time work 4 out of 5 because it offers flexibility, income, and career growth opportunities, making it an excellent choice for students and individuals with other commitments. On-Campus Part-Time Jobs: Many universities offer part-time jobs on campus, such as library assistants, research assistants, teaching assistants, and student ambassadors. These jobs provide a convenient way to balance work and academics, as they are often flexible and understanding of students' schedules. Off-Campus Opportunities: Off-campus part-time jobs are plentiful, with opportunities in retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, and customer service. You can search for part-time jobs on online job portals like Indeed, Glassdoor, or LinkedIn, or check company websites directly. Additionally, platforms like OLX offer a range of part-time job listings, including work-from-home opportunities. Manageability with Academics: Part-time work can be manageable with academics if you're organized and prioritize your tasks. Many part-time jobs offer flexible scheduling, which allows you to balance work and study commitments. However, it's essential to communicate your academic commitments with your employers to ensure a smooth balance between work and studies.

A very good college but no value for money. Fee is expensive.
Tips: I did not feel any sort of transition since I started staying in this city. I didn't have any scholarship. I came directly through a consultancy which was not official here before coming through the parental consultancy of the university. After reaching here, you will be taken care of by the coordinators of the hostel and will be provided with every facility.
Likes (Safety): The city is very safe. Not only the city, the hostel itself has very good security. No one except for students are allowed inside the hostels. Even outside the city is very safe. It is a good city to explore for one time. Once, I had lost my phone somewhere but I found it quickly because of the high security over here.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fee is not justified for this university. At the same fees you may get very good universities in different parts of Russia. So I don't recommend this university. Prefer choosing other universities having more experienced professors and that have better infrastructure.

The college is good but it is not value for money.
Tips: The college is good but it is not worth the money. There are better options at the same price. The college is strict and requires hard study to pass the exams. You'll have seminars every week. If you want to join this university, go with New Era Consultancy. They provide admission at the best price. NEET and 50% in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are mandatory. There are no metro or subways in Saransk, but there are various types of buses, including minibuses, trolley buses, and electric buses. Bus fares are very reasonable at 30 rubles, and you can travel to any destination for the same fare.
Dislikes (Part time work): There is no scope for part-time work while studying at this university. Most students stay on campus and are only able to work during vacation time. However, if you do not travel to your home country during vacation, you may be able to find part-time work.

Bundle up for winters and buckle down for exams.
Tips: If you are willing to come to this university, you better prepare for the winter. Winters are really bad in Russia, and the temperature in the city can go below -20/25 degrees Celsius. Also, if you are a vegetarian, you better learn to cook. There are not many sources of vegetarian food available, and even in the winter, you will not find a variety of vegetables. As for academics, I don't know about the other courses, but in medical school, some teachers and facilities are really good. You also need to prepare for the semester exams.
Likes (Safety): The people in the city are good, and I haven't heard of any major incidents involving students. The main building at the university has a security check, and we have to use a tapping card to enter most buildings on campus.
Dislikes (Part time work): I was on a student visa, so I was not able to work part-time while I was studying. However, I did see some students from other countries working part-time at clubs and restaurants. I have never done any kind of part-time job throughout my academic year.
