Student friendly and supportive learning environment.
Tips: I personally had a 30% scholarship because I scored above 90% on my Grade 12 boards. Students can avail scholarships from different scores onwards. Students can also avail an early bird discount if they secure their seats early. I am satisfied with my university and courses, as the faculty members are really qualified and experienced.
Likes (Safety): The safety guidelines of the city are great, as the campus is located in the knowledge park near Internet City. Apart from campus security, CCTV cameras, emergency contact numbers, and safety guidelines help ensure the students' safety. Our campus also has faculty members and students on different floors who are qualified with certified first aid, CPR, and AED training.
Dislikes (Part time work): An opportunity would present itself to go for internships while vacationing. Such internships would either be paid or unpaid. At the conclusion of the internship, a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter would be awarded. This would surely improve students' CVs. Doing a part-time job alongside studying would not be easy, as the classes run four to five days a week. The monthly pay from doing a part-time job would be around 800-1000 DH.

What to expect and what not to expect from abroad studies
Tips: They should know about all the whereabouts and know what the living situation and other expenses would be. Because the students come here with a lot of hopes without even knowing what to expect, it starts getting difficult for them because they don't know how things are supposed to be done or handled. So proper research is always required. Like Food, Living & Travel Expenses, and other Miscellaneous expenses, so it becomes easier for them to consider.

A great life at a great college with high qualified faculty.
Tips: Before joining, students should research the college and its surroundings, check for videos available on the Internet about the college and course they feel to pursue, connect with seniors or people who have graduated from the university, and check the college ranking and placement ranking. The faculty is good, well managed and educated professors for teaching with well-equipped technology making teaching fun and learning with collaborations between students and professors for better understanding and learning with practical hands-on experience.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is great here. The student union takes care of many things. They are available 24/7 for assistance and support with the right guidance. Students feel safe and enjoy their daily work with enthusiasm.
The university organises many different events for students to explore.

My Heriot-Watt Dubai Experience
Tips: It should be remembered that the university is where one needs to lay the groundwork for their future career, but what needs to be done in order to further improve skills lies with the individual. One must be independent and industrious in order to take part in club and university events. Another important point is that one should think about building one’s CV and skill set while studying at the university. One should take into account budgeting since maintenance in Dubai is quite costly.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teachers are friendly and always there to assist whenever we need them. We are able to ask our questions either in class, after class, or even via email. Usually, responses come back to us in one or two days. There is a mix of theory and practice in the classroom.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are also available at times, but these are quite scarce and cannot be depended on for earning money regularly. After doing some research and applying for some, there are many off-campus jobs available that can be easily accessed, especially in Dubai. It is not difficult to combine studies with a part-time job with proper time management. The pay rates depend on the type of job, employer, and working hours.

Strong academics , independent learning, and career focused
Tips: Before joining Heriot Watt, expect a self-directed learning style and fast academic pace; cultural shifts include independent living and diverse classmates, and adapting to UK academic expectations and teaching style are more discussion- and application-based rather than memorization. Overall it's a strong university.
Likes (Indian Food): You likely found good restaurant variety and reasonable availability of your cuisine, eating out is convenient, there are so many restaurants nearby which we can get our food and many areas have also ethnic grocery and street food spots that makes home style cooking easier and more affordable.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The biggest issue is usually that the visa pathways are incredibly confusing and the rules for staying long-term keep changing. Honestly, your chances of staying permanently completely depend on your specific job skills, what’s in demand, and how well you fit into the current immigration policies. Without those pieces aligning, settling down here is technically possible, but you definitely can't bet on it. If you don't have a bulletproof plan or a really strong route to qualify, the whole thing is honestly a gamble rather than a safe bet.
