Master of Science in Computer Science - Batch of 2027
4.3
Temple is a research-based R1 university.
Tips: You must know about the culture and Temple Pride Month. There are lots of things that Temple provides to students, like advanced courses and personal guidance for assignments. You will also enjoy the parties and culture of the USA. It’s really fun.
Likes (Internships): Temple is a research-based R1 university. It provides a versatile experience with real-life scenarios as well as advanced labs so it's a very good experience when you enrol as an intern. So, lots of companies come to the fair and you get a chance to showcase your skills, and there you can get a chance to intern.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Don't look for a part-time job here. The main focus should be on studying, and that can be challenging enough as it is. I wouldn't advise trying to tackle both studying and working at the same time. The workload for each is already significant, and you wouldn't want to overwhelm yourself too much.

Master of Science in Music Technology - Batch of 2025

The faculty are very helpful, understanding and supportive.
Tips: Students should check for off-campus accommodations that are close to the university and for scholarships. Ask college professionals about your average expenses and make sure that you have some extra money just in case of an emergency. Going to a different country might get lonely in the start but once you get to know your classmates and make some friends it gets better over the period of time.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty for my department is excellent. They help you study everything that you are supposed to learn. Make ways to communicate and meet you if you cannot understand something in class and will also try to make almost everything easy for you to understand and help learn and grow.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is easily available but it is still a lot expensive than what you might expect. Also, sometimes the quality won't even be up to the mark. Buying groceries for Indian food might be costly but less expensive than eating outside. I prefer cooking and making food for myself most of the time as it is less expensive and you know you're eating healthy.

Transformative learning experience.
Tips: Students should be prepared for a disciplined and structured environment, as it's an Air Force college. The academic rigour is balanced with a strong emphasis on physical fitness, leadership, and time management. Facilities are usually well-maintained, and the faculty is experienced. It's important to be mentally and physically prepared for the military-influenced lifestyle, which can be highly rewarding for those seeking a career in defence or technical research fields. The campus offers a perfect balance of academics, discipline, and vibrant activities. The structured routine helps build discipline, while the variety of events and clubs makes college life enjoyable and engaging. My day usually starts early with physical training, followed by lectures, lab work, and sometimes project discussions. Evenings often include club activities, sports, or cultural rehearsals. What I enjoy most is the sense of purpose and the supportive peer environment. The campus hosts tech fests, cultural nights, sports meets, leadership summits, and Air Force-themed activities. These events are frequent and well-organised, and I actively participate, especially in cultural and tech events. There are several active clubs on campus - tech clubs (coding, robotics, aeromodelling), cultural clubs (music, dance, drama), literary societies, and fitness clubs. Each club offers unique opportunities to learn, lead, and collaborate beyond the classroom.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The professors are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to helping students succeed. Most of them have a strong background in both academics and military applications, which brings a real-world perspective to classroom learning. The faculty is very approachable and supportive. They maintain open office hours and are always willing to help students beyond class hours, whether it's for clearing doubts, research guidance, or career mentorship. What sets the department apart is its hands-on, practical approach. Classes are often integrated with lab sessions, case studies, and real-world simulations. There's a strong focus on analytical thinking, leadership development, and innovation, all aligned with the values of the Air Force. While most faculty members are from India, many have studied or trained abroad, bringing international exposure into their teaching. Guest lectures and collaborative projects with international defence and academic institutions also add to the diversity of learning.
