MSc in Data Analytics - Batch of 2024

No practical skills or career ready experience.
Tips: The DA or B.A. course structure is not particularly industry-aligned. Internships through college are also very limited. The cultural transaction is manageable, you'll need to take initiative for everything from learning to job hunting because support from university is minimal. I did receive scholarship based on merit which is one good thing. I honesty am not satisfied with the course, especially in terms of academic content and teaching quality.
Likes (Safety): There is no extra safety provided, but the people around the city don't seem to be harmful, and the only plus point is Garda can be minutes away. If you stay in student accommodation they have security guards available, and a few houses have a key locking system.
Dislikes (Internships): There are very less opportunities for Internships, and it is even harder to find a job, no matter how much experience you have. A lot of colleges offer Data Analytics and Business Analytics courses, but the internships you can find are very less and the college doesn't help in finding them.

The university is good. Faculty are highly talented and the management process is smooth as well.
Tips: College is decent, and course-wise I gained some information. Before applying, check with the college about scholarships. Also, learn some skills before going for a master's to make your life easier. On a personal level, I feel like prior knowledge would really help in getting a job. Ireland has a very clear Visa pathway. After we get a sponsor job, within 21 months, we can apply for PR. After staying legally for five years, which includes Stamp 1G, Stamp 1, and Stamp 4, we can apply for Irish citizenship or a passport. Overall, Ireland is a peaceful country, so it's a good place to be.
Dislikes (Value for money): After paying the fee for my classes, I found out that all the courses for this degree program were online. COVID-19 was behind this decision, and I felt like the course was too expensive for just online recorded classes. I do feel like I received 100% of the information from the course, but the fact that class attendance wasn't mandatory felt a little liberal.

MSc in Information Technology Management - Batch of 2025
Offered by South East Technological University- Carlow

The university is diverse and very welcoming.
Tips: If you have any good experience back in India in the IT industry, and you're trying to upgrade your skills with a 1-year Master's degree, then you can pick this college. If you have a GPA of 75% or above, both in your studies in India and on the English entrance test, you'll get a 5,000 scholarship from the university. Note that this is not for freshmen. Carlow is very safe because in this country most of the people will be established students or settled members. So, there will be no issues with the citizens and there will be fewer homeless people. So that's the reason the country is very calm and safe to live in. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There will be no Indian food available in Carlow. There are also a very limited number of Indian restaurants in Ireland. We’ll have to adapt to the Irish food here, like pastries and pizza. Also, there are very few Asian stores in Carlow. That’s the reason I gave this aspect of life a low rating.

Easy going college for masters students but the tuition fees are way too much.
Tips: There was a cultural shift. Students here don't like outsiders much. They tend to pick on people of another ethnicity. I don't have any scholarships as such, but I did apply for them. I am satisfied with Ireland's culture, but the university is a bit unsatisfying for me since the master's course doesn't really provide much of a classroom experience. It is just assignments and stuff that were paying so much for it.
Likes (Safety): The campus is really good and has excellent safety options. There are lots of options for undergraduate students, but not much for Master's non-EU students planning their futures. The university’s services are also good. However, some courses need more classes and teaching.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees are way too much, and they don't include enough content for the price. Also, the additional expenses we carry are expensive. The tuition fees should not include tax for international students because it would be much more affordable for them if it did not. It is also hard to find part-time work, which makes managing expenses difficult.

The faculty are highly qualified and we have an amazing student life.
Tips: Everything is easy when you're working on it. You should be ready to face any challenges. Should adopt the mindset of working hard. If you have any work experience, you will get a job more quickly than a fresher. I'm satisfied with my study life and working life. I'm doing great at both. We have good opportunities in my course if you have previous experience, and this country and its people are very warm and respectful.
Likes (Part time work): We can enjoy our student life. In our class, there are also cultural fests where you can have fun. You can also balance your study life and your work life. One more important thing is you need to work more on your assignments for a good score. When you start planning to study abroad, make sure you are ready for any challenges.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Well, my classes are in the evenings and they are two hours long. My faculty are very talented and have in-depth knowledge of the subjects. They guide us with our assignments and suggest techniques to help us complete them and get good grades. The faculty guides are qualified people who have worked at great universities in different regions.
