Study under the Aurora Borealis and make a memory for a lifetime.
Tips: The students should be well aware of how the weather is going to be, as it could be harsh for some, but many might enjoy it. Moving abroad has been a new experience you learn to handle a lot of things alone, and you definitely will undergo a cultural change that will bring out a new perspective for students at Uppsala. It's quite competitive to get a scholarship, as a majority of students compete for 1 scholarship; hence, it's quite hard to get.
Likes (Quality of faculty): In my opinion, I had a good experience with the faculty, they were approachable, kind and understanding. The teaching methodology is very research-based. You get to learn a lot of new techniques that have been developed by various PIs in Uppsala, which is quite a game changer. The teaching faculty is quite diverse.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Unlike India, where there are placement offices and a special team working to ensure you get a job, it doesn't work like that in Sweden. It's heavily reliant on networking. To work in academia is also the same, as it is quite competitive and students are required to get in touch with PIs as early as they would like to start working. The majority of the companies in Sweden sponsor visas for work, but with the change in the job market, it's quite tough to land the right job at the right moment. The tip for upcoming students is to begin early. Job roles and salary are dependent on your experience and needs. As a fresher, you can expect anything between 33,500-38,000 SEK before taxes as the salary.

Average University, much better options available.
Tips: Education level is very low as compared with Indian or US education level. I am finding it hard to cope with Swedish education system. Teaching is done by PhD students and not by professors most of the time. Assignment is the only thing you have to do. I am considering to drop out of the University in next semester.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is good but very expensive. Buses are well connected with campus and city centre. The only good thing about this city is public transport. During snow, buses run late but it's everywhere. Trains are well on time usually. So public transport is good.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very less part time jobs. Also if some jobs are available they pay you very less money. On-campus jobs are near to impossible to secure as they always want Swedish speaking candidates. Same with part time jobs no scope for English speaking population.

Affordable and the best, best student life and amazing experience.
Tips: Students should know the weightage of their course work and they have to plan accordingly. Also there will be more hindrances and hurdles while you study here in Europe. You need to be prepared for that and you should stay motivated. I would suggest that Europe is the best place to do your master's degree.
Likes (Student Life): I have the best student life here. I met so many international people here and had a wonderful experience. Parties, group discussions, study groups everything here is amazing and mind-blowing. I really like the vibe of the city and the amazing student experience
Dislikes (Internships): Low opportunities for internships here, for my course I either have to go to some other city or I cannot do it remotely. A lot of research opportunities are there but a year of experience is needed for all the jobs and internships here. Getting internships is pretty hard for my course here.

Master in International Business (MIB) - Batch of 2018
Offered by Grenoble Graduate School of Business
4.3
The course is filled with a lot of practical sessions designed for students to work in teams.
Tips: My educational consultant suggested this course. There were no scholarships for Indian students. However, it is a great cultural mix. I studied with a total of 13 different nationalities. The course is filled with a lot of practical sessions designed for students to work in teams, which has given me a great educational experience. No issues with public safety. I had very good experiences in Singapore as well as in France during my studies. A lot of female students leave campus late from 9:30 PM to 10 PM without any safety issues. All public and private transport is safe, accessible and affordable.
Dislikes (Part time work): I received no part-time work offers in Singapore. Singapore limits foreign students from working during their studies. However, if you get a job offer, a company will sponsor your work permit to give you the ability to work legally there.

Embracing student life the French way.
Tips: Students need to be prepared for a different educational approach. The French system is highly structured so being organized and disciplined is crucial. Also understanding a bit of the French language and culture will be beneficial as it will help you integrate more easily into both academic and social settings. Transitioning to the French business school system has been an enlightening experience for me. I've become more organized and disciplined adopting the French way of learning which emphasises thorough understanding and attention to detail. There was definitely a cultural shift especially in terms of lifestyle and work life balance. I've learned to appreciate the French culture which values both hard work and the importance of taking time to enjoy life. I received a scholarship from the school itself under the Professional Experience Award programme. The scholarship amounted to 2,000 euros. The application process involved submitting my academic achievements professional background and motivation for pursuing my studies here. This support helped ease my financial burden and allowed me to focus more on my studies and gain valuable experience. I am really satisfied with my university the course and the experience in France. The school offers a great learning environment with excellent faculty and diverse classmates which has broadened my perspectives. The course is rigorous and aligns well with my career goals.
Likes (Public transportation): There is a well connected Tram line across the city and I never had to face any problem in terms of transportation. Everything is closeby and accessible. The most common modes of travel are tram, cab, bike rentals or carpooling. Tram network is the easiest and most convenient way to travel and it operates until late at night and is very affordable especially for students.
Dislikes (Part time work): There aren't many opportunities in terms of on campus part time jobs since it's a small B-School with very few divisions. For off campus jobs candidates usually require a good understanding of the French Language and culture. There isn't a lot of academic pressure and part-time jobs are easily manageable. The average payout is about 15 euros per hour.
