IGC Hochschule Bremen review by an ex corporate employee from India.
Tips: I have started being very punctual after coming to Germany. People respect the value of time, and everyone is 15 to 10 minutes early for every appointment. Also, people do not prefer cloud tonality, and they also maintain rules here. I did not have any scholarship; I used my savings for my MBA here. I am satisfied with my course here, although sometimes when teachers took full online courses without any presence, that felt really unfair because I was sitting here paying my full rent. I am satisfied with Germany; it's really safe for girls and a country of rules that I absolutely look up to. But one thing that bugs me is that starting to learn the language becomes the main point of study here. Even if your course is in English and the job you want does not require German skills at its finest, people are reluctant to give jobs on the basis of work skills alone. If you know the language thoroughly, the job is yours. I understand that language is required for cultural integration, but for that, basic skills are enough. Not always; you require a C1 level in desk jobs.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in Bremen is extremely good. The trains and buses are really punctual, and the connectivity is well maintained. I have been provided with a Deutschland ticket by my university, so transportation is free for me. The contribution is included in my semester feelings.
Dislikes (Part time work): I really didn't see any part-time job options on campus. I got a part-time job at a coffee shop as a cashier. But due to the large amount of student intake, even finding that job took me almost four months. A part-time job here is manageable with 2 to 3 days of work in a week. You can get 800€ to 1200€ a month on a 20 hr/week shift. During semester break, you can work for 40 hours a week.

BA in International Degree Course in Shipping and Chartering - Batch of 2029
3.6
A practical and internationally focused shipping course in good city
Tips: Students should know that the program has a strong international and practical focus, but it also requires independent study and active participation. Moving to Bremen involved adjusting to a quieter lifestyle, German paperwork, and a different academic system. I did not personally receive a scholarship, so students should research funding options early. Overall, I am satisfied with Hochschule Bremen and the Shipping and Catering course, although learning German is very important for internships, part-time work, and everyday life.
Likes (Post study jobs): I rated post-study jobs 5 because Bremen and northern Germany have strong shipping and logistics industries. Graduates can apply for roles in catering, ship brokerage, freight forwarding, port agencies, transport insurance, import and export, and logistics operations. Starting salaries are generally around €40,000 to €50,000 gross per year, depending on the role and company. Larger international employers also hire non-EU graduates, although German skills and practical experience improve the chances significantly.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated part-time work 1 because course-related student jobs in shipping and chartering are not very easy to find, especially without German or previous experience. On-campus positions are limited, while off-campus opportunities are mainly in logistics companies, warehouses, port operations, and offices. Work is manageable with flexible hours, but balancing it with classes can be difficult. Basic jobs usually pay around 13.90 to 16 Euros per hour, while relevant working student roles may pay more.

MBA European/Asian Management - Batch of 2027
3.8
INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE CENTER
Tips: High cultural shift, with major ones being food habits and weather. No scholarships availed. Moderately satisfied with university academics. It would be better if there were on-campus German classes and a part of the course. There are no German classes on campus, so I need external help.
Likes (Public transportation): Very well connected to the rest of the city with various means of transportation. The buses' and trams' frequency is also very high, so you don't have to wait long hours either. Public transportation is completely free with the semester ticket from the university, which is included with the semester fees.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited. Off-campus jobs are there if you know German. It is very hard to find English-speaking jobs or other werkstudent jobs if there are no referrals and guidance. Odd jobs are there with minimal German skills, but that's also going to be limited in the coming days.

I had a good experience. The faculty, staff everybody was supportive in my case.
Tips: Studying at Hochschule Bremen has been a solid choice, mainly because of how global the student body is. Being in classes with people from all over the world really sharpens your communication and teamwork skills. The professors actually know their stuff and are always open to answering questions, plus the admin staff makes the onboarding process pretty smooth for international students. Because HSB is a public university, you're getting great value, and the facilities on campus are well kept. The main downside is that because the program is so international, you end up in a bit of a bubble—it's actually pretty tough to mix with local German students or get deep into the local culture. Overall though, if you want good academic support and strong international exposure, it delivers.

Choose the way how you want to study.
Tips: At the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, we have a practical approach to education rather than only theoretical studies. University focuses on how you can do it correctly rather than what the traditional way of doing it is. You have plenty of options to do your own research. I am satisfied with my choice to do my master's degree from this university and have gotten a new perspective on life.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport is very affordable because when you are registered in any university, you make a compulsory semester contribution, and from that semester contribution, you get the Deutschland ticket, using which you can travel anywhere in Germany using regional trains and city public transport.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are no ready-to-eat options for Indian students, but there are plenty of stores that are Indian-pantry friendly and near Bremen Central Station. After all this you can also find a lot of Indian restaurants in Bremen, but it costs approx 20€ per meal, which is approximately 1/4 of your monthly grocery budget.
