M.Eng. in Automotive Systems - Vehicle Dynamics - Batch of 2024
Offered by Esslingen University of Applied Sciences
4.3
The university has a problem-oriented exam; no need to learn theory answers.
Tips: The college offers a scholarship for the best-performing international students, which helps with a semester fee waiver. Open book exams were a new experience. Problem-oriented exam, no need to learn theory answers. Some self learning is required and group studies with other classmates really helped.
Likes (Safety): The stay at the university is independent from the college itself. There are no hostel facilities provided by the college. However, student dorms are available, but these belong to other organisations. I chose to stay in a shared apartment with other international students, which worked well for me. The city is safe, and I didn’t face any problems during my stay.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are very kind and friendly, and the staff are approachable and very helpful. I felt certain subjects could have been taught better. For example, some professors were well qualified but were not very good at teaching or explaining concepts. This might have been due to the fact that they were German and their English translation skills were not the best. One good thing is that a lot of the professors shared practical industrial examples while teaching, which really helped. There were mostly German students in my classes.
