MA in Classical Archaeology (in German) 

at Goethe University Frankfurt, Frankfurt

Admission to the Master’s degree in Classical Archeology requires:

• a) proof of a bachelor's degree in classical archeology or in archaeological sciences with a corresponding focus or in a comparable bachelor’s degree, each with a standard period of study of eight semesters, or
  
  b) proof of a bachelor’s degree in classical archeology or in the same subject, each with a standard period of study of six Semesters or
  
  c) proof of at least an equivalent degree from a German university or a German university of applied sciences in a related subject with a standard period of study of at least six semesters or
  
  d) Proof of an at least equivalent foreign degree in the same or a related subject with a standard period of study of at least six semesters.
  
  

  In the cases of b), c) and d), the Master's variant A has to be studied for a total of four semesters.

• Language requirements: Latin (Latinum or an equivalent language test).
  Proof of knowledge of Latin is provided by:
  • the secondary school leaving certificate or corresponding school reports or
  • supplementary examination for the secondary school leaving certificate (Latinum) or
  • the Latin language examination to be taken at the Institute for Classical Philology or Protestant Theology, with which the language courses held at these institutes are completed, or
  • by comparable Exams.
