The college is a well to do college in the price range
Tips: It is not that stressful to study here, because there are only a limited amount of subjects. Each student has to learn in the semester and the workload is evenly spaced out so that we have enough time to go over the subjects and not be worried. The teachers are all very professional and highly qualified people who are experts in their field.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is amazing according to me. Because even at the dead of the night you can travel from point A to point B in Berlin and there would be buses which would be available. On weekends, the trains also run 24 hours so that is a bonus.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It is hard for Indian students to live in Germany. Because the weather is cold, winters are long, food is expensive, living is expensive and there are taxes for a lot of things. Plus most jobs require you to know the German language, which itself is hard to learn.

Best for hands-on knowledge learning.
Tips: If you are looking for a great course in the policy sector, Hertie can build you the perfect foundation. The University strikes a great balance between theoretical and hands-on knowledge sharing. Hertie is synonymous with some of the best minds in the policy sector.
Likes (Public transportation): Centrally located, the Hertie School is easily accessible by bus, the U-Bahn, and the S-Bahn. It is close to major tourist attractions and is always bustling with life and warmth. The University is a short walk from the major Bahnofs which makes it a great location to quickly switch routes.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food, although abundant in Berlin, is not something to look for at Hertie. Since the University caters to many students from various regions, cherry-picking cuisines is not the priority. Though, fruits, salads, bread, and coffee are in abundance at the cafeteria.

This place will give you exposure and growth along with challenge.
Tips: It is hard to find housing and jobs. You should be prepared for classes and exams. Do your research on jobs etc beforehand. Competition is too high if you start after you come here then it will be difficult. Enrol in different activities to know your interests or to work on them.
Likes (Public transportation): It is easy to get to any place, at any time of the day (sparse on Sundays). There is little concern about safety. There are always alternative arrangements made if a train is cancelled. And covered by the college. You get student discounts and seasonal offers.
Dislikes (Internships): Even though I applied only for a few internships, I didn't hear back. Some internships ask for German as a language criterion. The language barrier and high competition are some challenges I am facing. Without networking, it becomes a challenge.

good college, would recommend if insterested in european studies
Tips: I'm satisfied with the course, although the fees could be a little lower, and I have 33% scholarships. If you are open to change and embracing it with an open mind, and ask for help when needed, then you'd have a great time. There is so much to explore: events, people, places, food, etc.
Likes (Indian Food): I do not generally eat outside because I'm a vegetarian, but still there are great options in cuisines from all over the world; there is Mensa for cheap, good food and extremely good desserts. I loved döner culture, cheesecake, coffee, salads, etc. There are some great Indian food places too.
Dislikes (Value for money): For the feelings it has, the courses are not that well structured, or the school is not on par on a holistic level; some professors are amazing, and some lectures are not that great. The value-to-feelings ratio is low, I'd say. More structured courses, internships, jobs, and visas are needed.
