Great place to learn not just about your course but about aboud different cultures and etiquettes.
Tips: There's a big cultural shift in the way people talk and public space etiquette that one learns with time. Scholarships—there are two types of scholarships that you can find on their website. I got the Explore scholarship, for which I wrote a letter explaining why I am a great candidate, and I will be active with planning events and putting my best foot forward. Also gave proof of my participation and history of organizing events. I am highly satisfied with the university; also, the course was super interesting. The first semester is hectic with a lot of classes, but after the first semester it gets easier also because you learn how to manage your time and professors' expectations. Germany has been a delight. Love the culture, and Germany is very open, so this is the best place for all kinds of lifestyles.
Likes (Part time work): There are few positions available for working students, which is most suitable with studies. But other than that, Munich offers good part-time opportunities comparatively. It's tough to manage a job with work in the first semester, but after that, the second and third semesters are easier, so students can manage work and study together. For internships, which are 40 hours a week, it's 1600 euros to 2200 euros gross. And for working students, which is 20 hours a week, it ranges from 700 euros to 1500 euros gross.
Dislikes (Internships): There are multiple internship and working student opportunities in Munich. Also, from school there is good support. They help in preparing students for interviews and make CVs perfect for the German market. They do not help in finding, but they guide you where you can find what the best ways are. So guidance is there, but you have to do work yourself.

Academically Oriented University
Tips: I transitioned in terms of getting disciplined, and the biggest cultural shift for me was the food. Yes, I got a scholarship of around 8000 euros, and I got through the university interview. I am really happy with the university and it's a beautiful country to come to but you need to be disciplined.
Likes (Post study jobs): Not sure about how many companies offer work visas, but I can surely say that if you know German, then you will always have the upper hand. So do learn German till C1 level before coming. The packages are good which is around 30-40% of your salaries but with that comes a lot of benefits in terms for quality of life
Dislikes (Indian Food): 1. There are a few Indian restaurants in the locality, but you will never get the exact same taste of India, and it will cost you around 25-30 euros bare minimum. 2. I majorly prefer cooking on my own, but yes, sometimes I love to go out and have food in Indian restaurants.

Highly academic oriented and multi cultural.
Tips: There are many Indians, and the other national people are friendly as well. Scholarships are available, but I did not avail myself of any. I can give 7.5 out of 10 for the university and course. And 8 for the country. The weather can get crazy sometimes, and it will take time to adjust.
Likes (Public transportation): Getting around Munich is insanely easy since the trains, trams and buses run pretty much everywhere all the time. The only real issue is that the tickets are getting pretty pricey. The campus itself is super close to the city center, so the overall connectivity is solid. Just don't expect a ton of food options or cheap places to eat right around the college—the selection nearby is honestly pretty weak.
Dislikes (Internships): The university gives good guidance on internships. However, there is too much demand and also the language barrier; the skills alone are not enough. There are a good number of job openings, but also there is too much demand for each role. Knowing German definitely helps.

Strong Finance Program and Positive experience at Munich Business School.
Tips: If you're coming straight from a job like I did, just know that adjusting back to university life is going to take a minute. Flipping that switch from working a full-time routine back to sitting in classes was a total reality check at first, and it took me a while to get used to the pace. The whole learning style here is definitely a bit of a culture shock but it’s completely manageable once you find your rhythm.
I actually lucked out and got a scholarship too mostly just from applying super early with decent grades—so definitely check the uni portals for that kind of stuff. But yeah, even with the initial hiccups the course turned out great and living here has been a wild ride.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors here are super chill and honestly really easy to talk to. Zero reason to hesitate if you need to pop into their office or ask a quick question. Plus, the teaching style is pretty hands-on—none of that just reading off boring slides crap. They just break down the complicated stuff using everyday examples and random discussions. Honestly makes everything way easier to digest.
Dislikes (Internships): Landing a job is honestly a massive headache if you don’t speak the language, since pretty much every local company expects you to know German. But if you actually put in the work to learn it and build a solid resume, things get way easier. The uni does have a career support team and some job portals to point you in the right direction, but at the end of the day, you still have to do all the heavy lifting yourself.

Good city experience but average campus life.
Tips: The campus is honestly tiny—it feels way more like a corporate office building than an actual university. You basically have to figure things out on your own here, especially when you're trying to hunt down internships or network. At the end of the day, the whole vibe is just incredibly average.
Likes (Safety): Munich is generally a very safe city for students, even while traveling late in the evening. Public transport is reliable, and I personally had a comfortable experience living here as an international student. So no need to worry about safety and other stuff.
Dislikes (Internships): The university does not provide much direct help with internships, so students mostly have to search and apply on their own. There are limited campus opportunities, and networking plays a big role in finding internships related to the course. So average.
