Tips: German Language is very important despite Berlin being an international city. Knowing the local language at least to A2 level makes it easier to live and also increases there chances of landing a working student job or even a full time job. Learn the language and get the certification done.
Likes (Part time work): This is excellent in Berlin, you have multiple working student jobs where you can work part-time- 20 hours per week at different companies, and TU Berlin also offers student jobs, both of them pay really well to cover the monthly expenses. I literally had multiple working student jobs throughout my entire study period.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty pool is really good, they keep updating the subjects and the faculty pool year on year as per the industry standard. I was studying during the COVID period, so there were some limitations in my studies even though it was onsite. But I guess now the quality would have been improved even more.

Tips: Please read the DAAC website for this course. There are a couple of scholarships also, apply for scholarships while you study here. I am pretty satisfied with the course modules at my university. We are assigned senior buddies who help you at the start, and the transition is pretty smooth after coming here.
Likes (Safety): I believe Berlin is safe for students. We have a student union and also something called Mensa, where you get subsidised meals. The city is diverse and liberal, and most people speak english do it's easy to communicate, and I believe there could be no other city as vibrant and open as Berlin.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I have seen most of our seniors getting full-time opportunities. Almost all the companies offer visa sponsorship for graduates from our college. Usually, you can expect a basic salary at the start as per the visa guidelines, but as you go forward, you can expect good pay. Job roles absolutely depend on the field of your study.

One of the best universities to consider while studying for masters as it also comes under TU 9.
Tips: What you need to know before joining TU Berlin is that interdisciplinary courses here are fantastic for career changers, but coming in with 2–3 years of work experience gives you a massive edge. Germany offers plenty of funding options worth exploring—like the Deutschlandstipendium or DAAD grants.
The biggest advantage in Berlin is the Werkstudent (working student) system. Working part-time in your field while studying not only helps pay for Berlin’s rising living costs, but it also gives you real German industry experience alongside your degree.

Tips: Choose your career path clearly before joining. It's a great course and university for those with some experience and knowing exactly what they want to do and make efforts in that direction from the start. People who are like open to anything and are generalists would suffer here.
Likes (Safety): Berlin is a safe place for everyone. No theft, police safety is good. People respect each other's personal interests and don’t bother people in general. Nightlife is good and safe, and usually there are very few drunk homeless people bothering other people. Don’t go to specific areas.
Dislikes (Internships): No direct support from University on internship. Because of the economic conditions of the country, the condition of the companies also deteriorated. Internships were available only through a deep search on your own, through countless LinkedIn searches and messages to lots of alumni.

The University where academics meets real world applications.
Tips: The initial transition was definitely hard, trying to figure things out on my own, but the people here are friendly and helpful if we just reach out to them. Things here work way different than India. I personally missed the chaos, super busy streets, and strong social community from India. People here fend for themselves, so it's hard to find house helpers or quick deliveries. I had not gotten the opportunity to apply for the scholarship last year since the deadline had passed, but I have applied this year. I haven't heard back from the committee yet. I personally think my university is really good, especially my course. The difficulty level is different for each course, and mine is an intermediate-level difficulty. My course also has a fee of 15500€ even though it's a public university. I think the curriculum and the exposure I have gained are worth every penny. In addition, Germany is also a really good and safe country to study, but in recent times the competition has increased significantly, which has hit the job market. I'd suggest doing your research and building your skills and language before you start your studies.
Likes (Public transportation): Public universities offer free public transportation for students since this is covered in their semester fee. All modes of public transportation, such as buses, trams, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and regional express, are also free. This allows students a great commute not only within the city but also countrywide. The transport system is also very well connected, making them accessible and efficient.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are various companies that offer student jobs and internships. One of the major factors these days is the German language. Due to increased competition, language provides an advantage for job seekers. There are numerous job roles available; students can apply to companies for working student roles or apply for student assistant roles in the university and can also apply for odd jobs such as delivery partner or warehouse jobs. The basic salary is around 15.20€ / hour. Some big companies provide around 17-20€. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours per week during semester break.
